Lovely hotel, couldn't be more British. Lovely staff who welcomed us very enthusiastic. Breakfast was perfect. We travel with a dog and she was very welcome. The hotel is located very close to a forest so perfect for walking

Great place in lovely surrounds. Wonderful staff and very comfy beds and pillows. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves
No biggie, we were close to the kitchen vent which now and then made us a bit hungry.
The friendliness of the staff was incredible. The choices of the breakfast were excellent. The room was very quiet which made it great for a good night sleep.
Leuk, sfeervol hotel, schoon en vriendelijk personeel. Fijn dat er een pub en restaurant (met terras) bij zitten, want verder is er niets in de buurt.
Alles beviel, maar paar kleine dingetjes zouden wat onderhoud kunnen gebruiken; barst in één van de ruitjes, gebarsten tegels in badkamer en spoelbak van toilet die zich heel langzaam vulde.

Travelled from the USA to visit English family in area - found this hotel. Beautiful old pub/hotel in very attractive countryside for walking / driving. Rooms were very comfortable, staff were helpful and friendly - would recommend strongly.

Shout out to the lovely girl at reception who organised a sausage baguette for me to have at 6;30am before heading off for bridemaid duties. Breakfast was lovely as was the staff.
room was small for 3 of us to get ready in for a wedding but we managed :)

Staff were very friendly and accommodating.
Room 4 - deluxe room had a bashed hole in main wooden bedroom door which was on the side of door facing into room ( door had probably banged against bed in past) .
One window pane was missing and was taped up with black duct tape.
Shower gel dispenser not good and was distorted, so hard to dispense. Gel seemed to be very watery . I did report this issue at end of stay as had own Shower gel.
Thought to report so that next guest would not be affected.
For a three star rating, would have expected a higher standard, hence this review.

Would not choose to eat in the restaurant. It was OK, but not as good as other pubs we have visited on our trio.
Lovely location, room (and bathroom) was big with a beautiful beamed ceiling.
Bed was firm and comfortable. Towels were big and fluffy. Good lighting options in the room and plenty of wardrobe and drawers for storage.
The included breakfast was fine, although the continental was limited to toast and cereal. The buttermilk pancakes were definitely crepes rather than the usual thick and fluffy type, there was no maple syrup so mine came with fruit instead of the requested bacon but we were in a rush so this was okay.
The shower head was a large rainfall one but only half the holes worked so it was more of a sporadic drizzle and the water was very hot.
The WiFi was unreliable, to the point that the TV was unwatchable - but this meant we got better sleep and read a book instead so could be a plus rather than a minus!
Lovely location in pretty village. Good cooked breakfast served by lovely staff. Restaurant in Inn attached had delicious food.
Bathroom needed attention, shower not very good for what was described as a boutique hotel.
