There was no hot water; what a joke.
Pros:

The front desk lady with red hair and a British accent tried very hard to help us get hot water after the whole building lost all access to hot water.

Cons:

There was no hot water. The breakfast was awful. The toaster burned toast on the lowest setting. The pancake machine was broken. Everything else was full of sugar.

It was horrible based on what happened the first night. I wm still shook about it.

Someone from the staff tried to come in my room. From the main door and the joining room. I kept calling downstairs and no-one answered so I had to call the police. They brushed it off as it was no big idea. I was not able to rest or sleep out of fear the whole time. I was so disappointed as a teacher because I went to rest and was not able to do it.

Toilet seat was loose, hotel smelled like weed, door wouldn’t close properly without shoving it closed. Shower door wasn’t aligned to the seal so water was leaking out of the shower.

Every morning, I looked forward to peaceful walks around the beautiful lake, which provided a serene and refreshing start to the day. Back in our room, we were treated to a truly pleasant view that made winding down each evening an absolute delight. The staff was accommodating, the amenities were fantastic, and the memories we made here with family are truly unforgettable. I cannot recommend this hotel enough for anyone looking for a relaxing, scenic, and deeply memorable getaway!

Pros:

I had a truly wonderful stay at this hotel and would happily return. From the moment we arrived, the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable, almost like we were visiting friends rather than checking into a hotel. That sense of warmth and hospitality really set the tone for the entire trip.

We were in town for a festival, and after long, busy days out exploring, it was such a relief to come back to a place that felt calm, clean, and inviting. The staff were consistently friendly and attentive without ever being intrusive. They were quick to help with anything we needed, whether it was directions, recommendations, or just a friendly chat at the front desk.

The room itself was comfortable and well maintained, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. What stood out most, though, was the atmosphere created by the people working there. It genuinely felt like they cared about our experience.

Overall, I really enjoyed my time in Columbia and a big part of that was staying here. I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area, especially if you value great service and a welcoming environment.

Pros:

Perfect location of this hotel.

Cons:

Strong dog hair smell all over the hallway rugs, very dissapointed with this. One more reason why pets do not belong in the same sleeping quarters with humans. Esoecially when the cleanliness of the rugs are not performed often.
