Pros:

The sevice was awful and they gauged us with additional fees. Ambience sucks and it needs a remodel.

Pros:

Great service the staff was always helpful. Bets are very comfy morning. Breakfast buffet was very complete. Lady bartenders at the bar. We’re very helpful of guiding us to the hip places. Ski in and out is very convenient

Pros:

Strategic location, ski in/out and walking distance from 1850.

Staff are great, doing whatever it takes to serve guests, all of them with no exception: the always smiling guy at entrance, receptionists, manager, ski shop staff, lobby cafe, breakfast, and especially the concierge man.

Ski rental shop in the same building.

Old styled building still using Keys :)

Booked the classic room mountain view: Room size is good for 3 days stay with no ski gear in - the cubic corner shower is very small and needs to take two steps up to get in.

Had great time during my stay at the hotel and would consider it next time if price is fair.

Pros:

The hotel is nicely located and some of the services like the Concierge was excellent.

However, the telephone and coffee machine in the room were not working and the technicians were unable to fix both of it for 4 days. The staff couldn't offer anything to compensate for this and all we heard from them was that they were sorry. They said the line was broke. I had to use my international phone to connect to the concierge or room service for 4 days, which was totally unacceptable. They further rushed behind us to ask for the price of a coffee we orederd to the room since we didn't have the coffee machine working and asked for 10 Euros for a single cup which I thought they already charged to my bill when I checked out. The reception staff was not really professional in that sence.

Also the restaurant dining service in the evening was extremely slow.

Other than the above, we enjoyed our stay in general.

Pros:

hotel is outdated, rooms are not clean, the suite we were in (2bdrm suite) is not safe, there's a column diagonal in the middle of the room, I bumped my head on it over 20times, lights over bed are serious safety hazard, corridors smell really bad, the food is mediocre (30euros burger is not edible). Staff is hit or miss, some are ok, and some are simply rude. the ski shop is not what you would expect from 5* hotel service, they do not assist clients, they missed keeping my ski straps in ski bags and in spite of 100euros tip, they didn't seem interested in doing much for me and my family. never again in this hotel, no wonder it has rooms available.

Pros:

This is definitely not a five star hotel. Completely misleading rating. Other than the valet and the staff in the ski room, everything was a disappointment. Our room smelled like a sewer. The odour in the bathroom was atrocious but no one did anything about it and the staff literally didn’t seem to care about pleasing their guests. No toilet paper in the room, poorly cleaned carpets, broken curtain hooks and the list goes on. Reception staff unfriendly and didn’t even know what number to call for the reception or concierge. The worst five star experience I have ever had.

The best location in Courchevel 1850
Pros:

Amazing location and truly ski in-ski out onto a green run. Clean and pleasant room and a lovely warm swimming pool. Staff were excellent - charming, helpful and professional (with one exception). Really good buffet breakfast, super restaurant staff and the guys in the boot room were really helpful and kind.

Not worth it at all
Pros:

It is definitely overpriced for such a room and service. Room decor is outdated. Phone is not working and nobody came to fix it or tried to do something about it. Even with ski in and ski out advantage, it can barely made it to a 3 star hotel. There is no way it can be a 5star hotel. They are charging 5star hotel price though!

Pros:

Hotel Carlin’s is a gem! The staff is helpful, the rooms are cleaned early and well, the breakfast is commodious, and included in room price. The ski shop is well run!
Pickup arrangements at the bus should be
advised in advance. (The hotel could give out a phone # for a cab, as it is uphill). Great place, though! Would recommend it!

Pros:

The Carlina is what a top-flight hotel used to be like, excellent facilities and truly excellent and welcoming staff, not the modern-day substitute of brushed stainless, white stone and pre-programmed, so-called five-star service. If you like the modern kind, go elsewhere. If you want the real thing, go to the Carlina. You'll have to forego the show Bentley at the door. It's a small sacrifice. What a pleasure to still find a hotel of this quality in the alps … or anywhere for that matter. Moreover, for evenings when going out to the excessively expensive Courchevel restaurants--whose cuisine rarely matches the bill--doesn't seem that appealing, the hotel's dining room and kitchen are very good. Nice!
