I didn’t like how the receptionist welcomed us. He wasn’t insulting but I have seen a far more positive and welcoming attitude towards lodgers than this. Felt like he wasn’t insulting just reading out a welcome script with little to no smile.

The fridge in our room had a very pungent smell. As a result we couldn’t put anything inside of it. We tried to open it to let air in but even that, still didn’t make any difference.

In the morning, I tried to order bolt, or freenow Uber online to take us to the airport but was told that bolts aren’t available at the location which was shocking.
The moment we ordered a local cab (which I presume have some connections/affiliations with the hotel, we successfully booked at the first time of trying. I ended up paying £33 for a cab ride that didn’t take up to 20 minutes to get to my destination. I believe the destination must have done something to prevent people from ordering the more cheap cabs like bolt, Uber to boost patronage for local cabs which are affiliated to the hotel. Very fishy.

It was dirty, the carpet didn’t fit the room, iron burns in the carpet, bathroom was filthy with earwigs on the floor, run down and needs a good all over freshen up. Cobwebs everywhere in the room and bathroom. Also your only given 1 key that powers the electric in the room once you take your key out the fridge goes off so you can’t actually put anything in the fridge cause it won’t stay cold once you remove the key when you leave the room.

Would be good to include some cutlery in the rooms, there is a microwave but no plates or forks and knives.

There was an unpleasant odour in the room upon arrival. Worst of all, at the reception we were informed that the linen was only to be changed after five days, which was longer than at other hotels I have been to, where it is usually a maximum of three days. Despite this, on the fifth day, no bed linen or toiletries were changed or replenished. Ironically, only the shower room floor mat had been changed. We logged our complaint the following day, but nothing was done to address it. It was also very unprofessional for the room service attendant to come knocking on our door on the sixth day, asking if we needed anything replenished, yet the previous day they had accessed the room and only changed the shower room floor mat. The small fridge in the room also didn't seem to work

Bed was uncomfortable

The first room we were given was not made up, we complained, the staff apologised and we were given a prepared room.

The room looked nothing like the photos really, the bed whilst possibly a double I think it was a small double. Fridge in my room was pathetic. No bar and snack vending machine was very overpriced.
