Mayflower Hotel Hanoi

An absolutely wonderful experience. Hotel is in a great location. Rooms were clean, but what truely turned our experience from good to great were the staff.

Ling and Lily were absolutely amazing! Lily arranged everything for us during our stay including a fantastic cooking experience, advice on what to do and where to go, Halong Bay trip on Calista, and our next two destinations all with drivers so we don’t need to even think about it.

Couldn’t recommend this hotel highly enough.

We had a great experience in may flower for 3 days stay , staff was friendly, room was neat and clean and they arrange ha long bay cruise stay for one day in velar which was amazing and had great time over there , would recommend to stay here, lot of indian restaurant near by...

Stayed at Mayflower Hotel, in old quarters area of Hano in Jun'25. The hotel rooms are very small in Hanoi. & Most rooms don't have window.
Thus we booked the suite room with balcony.
The room was small and clean.
The hotel is 3-4 mins walking to the famous Bahn Mi 25.

Overall stay was okay. Their Vietnamese coffee was superb. But NO breakfast option available for vegetarians. We stayed for 3 days & only options were watermelon and bread butter toast.

Clean, helpful , polite and not at all pushy. The staff were really very kind and helpful. Central location near to the old quarter , as a new visitor to Vietnam one is thrust into the deep end!
Room was fine ..air conditioning worked well, TV private bathroom and storage space.
Rooms becoming a little bit dated but still great value

First stay in Hanoi, Vietnam and it was awful nahhh. Two rooms for our family without any bath towels, calling front desk in need of help but it was dull. They said the housekeeping in charge of pillows and towels was off already and would be back at tomorrow morning. It sucks.
Hopefully so, picked up another accomodating places.

This hotel needs a fair bit of TLC
Our room smelt mouldy , the bathroom had a fair bit of mould on the walls
Very small bathroom, water was hot but shower head ordinary
Television did not work
Wifi worked well
Bed comfortable
Room was clean
The staff was the only real,reason I gave it a 3
They were fantastic
We had a balcony which was nice
The hotel is close to everything which was handy
My wife & I were disappointed
Not worth the money we paid
Look it would be a good hotel if they were spend some cash on the interior

PART 1 (2019)
Would give ten marks if possible. Super clean, piping hot shower and amazing friendly and helpful staff (especially the smiley doorman). Right in the heart of all the hustle and bustle of the old quarter and within easy walking distance of the lake this place is a warm, comfy, friendly sanctuary. Always found something to eat at breakfast and be prepared to be offered lots of tea. Thank you so much to all the staff for making our stay in Hanoi an outstanding experience, we will definitely stay again if we return.

PART 2 (2025)
First part review was in 2019 and as said we did return and this was the obvious choice for our stay seeing as we loved it so much the first time. Everything is exactly the same high standards as before only difference was no smiley doorman and didn’t have any breakfast.

Lovely and quiet, cool and clean. Great service and fantastic location stayed an extra night. Within waling distance to many attractions, train street, tomb of ho chi mihn, night markets, puppet theatre, live music and street performers.

Viss personal höll inte reda på något fick visa kvitto flera gånger. Frukosten var inte super bra.

Mayflower Hotel Hanoi is a charming boutique hotel located in the heart of Hanoi, close to the Old Quarter's bustling streets and major attractions. The rooms are clean, well-maintained, and offer modern amenities for a comfortable stay. Guests often praise the friendly and attentive staff who go out of their way to provide excellent service.

We had the most incredible stay at the Mayflower. We had a large balcony to sit and relax with lovely plants in flower. Our room was very clean and well stocked. They also had a power converter, which of course, we had forgotten to pack. The staff went above and beyond every day to ensure we had complete information, supplied us with numerous tour options as well as suggestions and excellent directions. We watched them treat some very rude guests with smiles and total respect, while being treated most horribly. Would we return and stay here? Most definitely!

Very well organised. Ms. Lily helped us so much during our stay in May Flower Hotel. We found it very neat and clean. It also locates in a very good location. They have also arranged very good tour operator for us. Air conditioned also worked very well.

DO NOT STAY HERE, PLEASE DO NOT BOOK

I booked here and when I arrived they did not have my room. It was 11pm, I had been awake 28 hours exhausted and they did not have a room despite it being paid for.

The put us in a cab to another hotel which was awful, tiny, you could not walk around the bed, we were promised all kinds of compensation. Free nights, excursions etc, but we never saw the lady manager again the entire stay.

There were ants in the room. There was no hot water in the shower.

Very small room but clean with great staff and central location. The staff were great, very helpful and supportive when it came to asking for recommendations or help with navigating the area! Would recommend for those who do not mind a small room with more out of date facilities and are seeking prime location with great service.

Hotel staff are very much helpful. They guid us where we shopping.there behavior is good. Al noor mosque near hotel. Muslim gest pray al nur mosque. Easy to find a lot of india restaurant nearby the hotel and they are good . Great location in old quater

May flower hotel very nice. Service very good. Lyli's co-operation is helpful to me. I am very much pleased. Enjoy our time in Hanoi with mayflower hotel. Spend here almost 1 week, buy few stuff with reasonablr price. Weather is nice but 2 heavy rainf

Nice place, centrally located. A little small and narrow but overall cozy room, also friendly and accomodating staff. Can book tours inside the hotel. Cheap last minute booking available. 24/7 receptionist and security guard is usually posted outside too.

For the price, this hotel is a great deal. However, may be worth spending more money for a nicer hotel. Our room was on the front and was extremely noisy. Despite ear plugs, frequent honking of horns from the passing motorbikes. The room was also very dated and does not appear exactly like the photos. The breakfast buffet was much smaller than other hotels we stayed at.
