Nothing much
Was told by two staff members there was no smoking area at all, so didn’t stay based on that information. Booked another hotel but turns out there was a smoking area, but that information came too late!
The location and amenities were great. The included breakfast at Bramble was excellent. The service was friendly and professional. Taxis and tuktuks were all super easy to come to the location with the gated circular entrance. It had a really nice vibe.
The only reason I gave a less than perfect score for comfort is that one night we lost power due to a brown out and had no AC from 2am to 5 am and it was rough. I would have expected a back up generator.
Also another reviewer mentioned something about rats outside the room, that terrified me and I was paranoid the entire time, but it was incredibly inaccurate and made me fearful for nothing. Our room was very clean with no inkling of vermin of any kind.
Property is clean and well maintained. It’s also a decent walk to Roxas Night Market.
Sadly, even though it’s known as the durian capital of the Philippines, during is not allowed in the rooms, which is not surprising however, I expected to see postings to warn guests. Lol - we were charged 1000 PHP for having durian.
I love the staff and the food.
The water and the towels are so stinky and the place is already run down.
Close to down town and stores, breakfast, friendly staff.
Stayed there for almost a week, there are nights that people from the restaurants down stairs we're yelling at around 10pm. Not sound proof.

very good location in the centre of Davao. The room is quiet, cosy and comfortable. Excellent breakfast

Overall i enjoyed my stay here. Rooms were big, bed was comfy and room was well equipped. The highlight tho was the in-house restaurants. Mamamita (mexican) was amazing and breakfast at The Bramble was excellent (attached a pix of the Eggs Benedict i had) . Both places were really gorgeous too. I didnt get to try the flagship Bourke & Bondi as there was a wedding there on the night i stayed.
I think the aircon is a little underpowered for a room that big so in a hot day this could be an issue. Also, for a property at this level, i think a bit of work could be done in terms of the finishing touches but this didnt really affect my stay in any way.
Friendly staffs, clean room and great food with good portions .
The elevator.. if your slow to get inside or outside elevator door closes so fast on you .

I didn't like the location, at first the internet wasnt working bit it was resolved by tue manager who was very professional and helpful. I jist think its a very nice hotel in a very not so nice area
