Great place for comfy stay
Pros:

Beautiful interior decor as you enter and had a fabulous comfy room with huge superking (even though was expecting just a double!) and a sparkling bathroom. We were sad we had no time for breakfast as smelt so good. Would definitely recommend.

Airless room not designed for comfort. No privacy and no gym access.
Pros:

Charming quaint interiors with antiques, staff were friendly especially at breakfast. Lovely garden / conservatory area for breakfast.

Cons:

Windows opened only a small way, making the room stuffy and airless and hot (significantly warmer than outside). Dusty old fan was provided which helped a little but not much. No AC. Bathroom has a glass door which only partially covers the doorway, so zero privacy if you are staying there with two people. One was seat provided but it was broken so could only sit on the bed. We were not allowed to use the gym before 7pm which was very strange and inconvenient (they seem to rent it out to personal trainers most of the time) - gym was well appointed when we were finally admitted into it.

Lovely
Pros:

Lovely boutique hotel in Summertown. This is my second stay. The hotel is very comfortable. Great for a short stay.

Cons:

Shame that the room was a bit hot. There is no AC.

De hverken vasket eller ryddet rommet under oppholdet, selv ikke da vi informerte om at det ikke var blitt gjort. Rommet var uutholdelig varmt uten aircondition. Kun en liten vifte på nattbordet. Begge dagene sa de at de skulle prøve å fikse en til, men gjorde det ikke. Vi spurte om å få bytte rom til en lavere etasje, De skulle komme tilbake til oss, men vi hørte aldri noe mer. Det var ikke verdt prisen.

Great value with characterful rooms and excellent service, despite small and warm rooms.
Pros:

The Galaxie was the most affordable hotel of our road trip, yet the service stood out. The staff were welcoming, friendly, and shared helpful insights about the surrounding area. Secure parking for our motorcycles was also greatly appreciated. The rooms, while compact, are clean and each has its own unique character. The bathrooms are modern and well maintained, and overall the hotel has a distinctive and memorable atmosphere that felt fitting for our final night.

Cons:

The rooms can get quite hot as there is no air conditioning, and they are relatively small. Unfortunately, we had to leave early so we didn’t get the chance to try the breakfast.

Cutting corners. Cot came without a mattress, instead an oversized duvet which was clearly unsafe for the purpose. Entered room in the evening after a hot day when it was much cooler outside than inside, but no one had thought to open windows and air the more than 31 degree room. Also forced me to spend £100 more on a larger room when I amended booking to include a 1 yo and cot - I doubt the cot couldn’t fit in a double room.

Extremely pricey for the facility.

Rooms are terribly hot and not enough fans.
Rooms were very dirty and lots of dust all over. I even took a picture of a pile of dust!!!

Pros:

Excellent location for our needs. Hotel shabby. Coffee at breakfast not very good. Staff were very helpful however.
