Great hotel in the heart of town
Pros:

Another great stay at the Plas Coch, a warm welcome from the staff with ease checking in, as always the evening meals and breakfast were piping hot and delicious.

Cons:

some of the rooms could do with a refresh, but this doesn't detract from an otherwise pleasant stay

I enjoyed it and would go again.
Pros:

Located on Bala main street, it was nevertheless quiet. The room was satisfactory. Evening meal and breakfast were good. There was parking immediately outside the hotel.

You get what you pay for
Pros:

Private car park at rear of pub good for motorcycles. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Cons:

Very tired property - Bed very soft and lumpy, decor definitely in need of a refresh. Pub very busy with a young lively. crowed on the Saturday night we stayed there - Lots of noise from the street in the early hours - Appreciate the pub can't control that.

Dated rooms and not good if you need a quiet night
Pros:

Location ok, breakfast arrived quickly.

Cons:

Booked due to being on a training course on the lake the following day.

Loud music/singing to early hours; hotel would be fine if you’re part of the party and don’t want to drive home, but being right above the bar when you need an early night means you don’t get the rest you need.

Stained mugs, rest of room clean but very dated and desk appeared broken and propped up on luggage stand as rather wonky.

Would have been fine with the dated room as you get what you pay for, but can’t recommend if you actually need to sleep before 2am

Value for money in a convenient location
Pros:

Plas Coch - in English Red Place - easy to spot on the High Street, it IS red. Very convenient for shops etc.
Excellent breakfast. One of us has a gluten intolerance and a gluten free loaf was bought locally especially- thanks for that! Hotel is not a palace but adequate for a night stay and value for money. £99 which included 2 good breakfasts, take out VAT, pay very helpful staff, not much left for running a business!

Cons:

Mattresses could be better, BUT all clean, sheets and towels clean and fresh

Great location for Lake Bala and super good value for money!
Pros:

We got a parking space, fast check-in, nice friendly staff, clean room with Wi-Fi. Location is lovely just a little ten minute walk to Lake Bala. We did it easily with a 4 and 6 year old. The breakfast in the morning was so lovely and cooked to order which didn’t take too long. Definitely booking again.

Cons:

This is clearly a lovely old hotel so don’t go in expecting a brand new Premier Inn. It’s clean and does all you need to stay in a lovely part of Wales.
