Good value for money, large family room, good food at the pub. Outdated and in need of a bit of TLC but ok for a night.
The staff were really friendly and helpful. Great location with other pubs and places to eat nearby.
As my room was on the front was quite noisy but it was Saturday night so can be expected
It was in a good location. The breakfast was quite good, served by a pleasant man. Really nice huge, fluffy towels. The evening food looked good.
The evening staff weren't very helpful. When I asked about the parking it was in the back yard between barrels and the covered smoking area. Something hit my car there. I carried my own case up two flights of stairs. (I'm visibly disabled) There was a table of diners at the foot of the stairs, so one of them had to move out of my way for me to get past, and again when I went back down to the car. The second set of stairs was difficult to find. Stairs and stair carpet scruffy. I know it is an old building, but the bedroom floor was so uneven I had trouble keeping my balance. The bed was uncomfortable. Access to the shower was through a very narrow gap, so I had to edge in sideways! I would have liked more toast, but didn't feel comfortable asking.
very friendly staff
very good food
clean hotel room,no investments have been made for a very long time, I do not recommend it to families with small children, especially on weekends, the hotel is located in the center near the pubs the noise persists until the morning and you can't rest.
Mattresses need replacing
Cleaning required in the bathroom
Good meals and stay OK but mattress on the bed had seen better days and hence not very comfortable.
Poor bed
For somewhere to stay to have a roof over your head, with good food and friendly staff I’d recommend it. If you have higher expectations than that though you may end up disappointed!
For me, stopping one night during a bike ride, it was fine and I’d likely use it again in future but if I was visiting the area and staying a few nights I wouldn’t be happy with the state of the bedroom I was in
The room was very tired to say the least, it’s several years overdue a refresh. I was just staying there to break up a long bike ride so personally the state of the room didn’t really bother me and the shower worked fine. There was no heating in the room so I couldn’t dry clothes but otherwise it was warm enough.
The big let down for me was the bed, when I first laid down I thought I’d laid on the room keys but alas it was the springs poking through. To not at least have a mattress topper is pretty poor (I assume the owner doesn’t have the funds for replacing the mattress itself). I did manage to sleep ok in the end but along with the wafer thin pillows it was by far the worst hotel bed I’ve ever experienced
The staff are all very friendly, rooms are a good size and food is cooked fresh.
Ontbijt was niet geweldig.
de bedden
en alles plakte van de viezigheid
Easy access to the town centre.
It was a tired pub room.
Great location, friendly staff. Food was very good and big portioned.
A little rundown in the rooms
Staff were friendly and helfull.
Bar food and bar staff was very good.
Room very old, sloaping floor, old sprung matress.
