The White Rhino is a great facility but needs to match its charges.
Pros:

The location and parking space are great!

Cons:

The cleanliness of the rooms has really dropped! We had booked 3 rooms (24-26th Dec) and they all had yellow-stained pillows with one having a red stain. When we requested for a change of pillows we were informed that they didn’t have any spare ones. On our second day, having been out all day, we returned at about 6pm and the rooms weren’t ready- no towels, no soap etc.

An absolute dream stay
Pros:

Could not fault the service I received here. An absolutely amazing experience. The staff were super friendly and able to assist with any queries or questions I had about the area. The room was large and had tons. It was in a prime location in Nyeri and definitely worth the little extra price. I had some issues with another hotel in the area, so this was the icing on the trip.

Cons:

Some parts of the hotel needed a little touch-up, but nothing to disappoint the trip or notice.

Family Getaway
Pros:

➕️We chose the White Rhino Hotel for its proximity to Nyeri town and the advertised indoor playground, making it seem ideal for a family getaway.
➕️We stayed 2 nights in the Exekutive and Superior Twin rooms—both were clean, comfortable, and well-kept.

➕️The staff was exceptional—polite, attentive, and very helpful throughout.

➕️There was an outdoor playground, but we didn’t get to use it due to the weather

Okay hotel in a good location
Pros:

Bed was comfortable and the extra blanket was very warm. They give coffee, tea and hot chocolate in the room. And the shower was nice.

Cons:

Ordering breakfast was more complicated than it should be as I wanted a la carte food. And they could improve on the cleanliness especially in common areas.

It was more pricey than I think it should be comparing it with other hotels in Kenya.

Comfortable stay in Nyeri with good rooms, good food and amazing staff.
Pros:

The room was clean and spacious; the beds were comfortable. The staff were very friendly and fast to respond to requests. The food at breakfast was good and the staff were very attentive to our needs and handled my children well.

Excellent
Pros:

I love the location; right in the middle of everything in Nyeri Town; making evening walks pure bliss since I can easily get back to the hotel. The parking (especially adjacent to the reception/ rooms) is spacious, offering an amazing view of the extensive greenery that surrounds the rest of Nyeri.

The extra blanket and the water heating jug (plus complementary tea/coffee) were an absolute lifesaver (given how chilly it could get at night in July).

Friendly and helpful staffs, swift check-in and check-out, spacious room with a fantastic view... sleeping here was great.

Conference Facilities: I have used White Rhino's conference packages before, and they have executive halls, and their dining experience is awesome.

Cons:

The Internet and TV navigation. Good thing I always have my connectivity, and as long as the TV is HDMI-compliant, I can connect my gadgets and watch my stuff on the big screen.

The rooms were clean. I would not recommend for leisure stay
Pros:

Receptionist Eunice she took time to listen to my concerns and acted on them. She also allowed me to be part of the decision I felt seen.

Cons:

Hot water was an issue at the beginning, interment was so slow.
