The perfect place
Pros:

Everything about this hotel is great, the room we stopped in was set out like Lewis Carols drawing room, with lots of little features. The bed was big and so comfortable. The view out the windows over to Whitby Abbey and the sea are fantastic and the staff are so helpful and friendley

Cons:

Nothing not to like we found our perfect getaway place.

Quirky hotel in a great location with wonderful views of Whitby
Pros:

I love this place because it's so unusual and quirky. I love how many things there are to look at and lots of surprises everywhere. You don't know what you'll see next. This was our second visit here. We enjoyed staying in the room, Lewis. It was very comfortable and had the most amazing view of Whitby. The place isn't perhaps the cleanest, but I still love it! And it's such a friendly place, too.

We had a very entertaining and relaxing couple of days in this amazing hotel in of days in this hotel
Pros:

The magic atmosphere, the kindness of the owners, and the incredible view

Cons:

We had the fantastic “saloon” bedroom with a huge copper bath but my husband said a shower head for rinsing would not be refused

Fantastic hotel with views of the abbey
Pros:

This hotel was fantastic, the atmosphere was great with great decoration and use of curiosities. The Location was perfect with views across to the abbey, the Spar around the corner and if you are considering for wgw events everything was close by. The room was very pleasant, clean and everything required, with Yorkshire tea and local real coffee bags supplied and fresh milk. The staff were friendly and happy to have a chat. There was also a lovely tea room serving cakes and tea and coffee, all in proper china tea cups and pots. We didn't get to try the cocktail library, but that looked great too, just didn't have time. I would definitely recommend, and would definitely stay again if I visit Whitby overnight. Thanks to all staff at La Rosa for a great weekend!

Absolutely Fabulous hotel in Whitby.
Pros:

We were given a hotel voucher as a wedding gift and didn’t really know where to book so we booked La Rosa Hotel as we’d previously been to Whitby and loved it. The hotel was absolutely amazing! Each room has a different theme to it and the attention to detail is fabulous. We stayed in the Arabesque room and the bed is huge! There’s a camel stool to assist us short ones up onto the bed. The staff were lovely and we enjoyed chatting to them about where to go out and about in Whitby. We will definitely be returning to stay in the other rooms.

The most whimsy little escape from reality, full of charm and personality, I didn’t want to leave!
Pros:

Full of character, with vintage pieces from wall to wall, set in the most perfectly placed Victorian building overlooking the Whitby coast and the Abbey.

Honourable mention to the amazing staff, so accommodating, helping with parking, and keeping us fuelled with the loveliest cakes and cocktails. I already can’t wait to return.

If wanted to stay here for years and it exceeded all expectations, I don’t think I’ll ever be able to put into words just how much I love La Rosa Hotel 🌹❤️‍🔥

Cons:

N/A - wish we could’ve stayed longer and can’t wait to rerun.

Easily the best Hotel for miles.
Pros:

A wonderfully, chic, bohemian, boutique hotel. Please don’t book it because I will not be able to rebook it myself!! A truly hidden gem though with the best view in Whitby

Whitby and surrounding areas absolutely wonderful. plus lots of interesting shops , bars and cafes
Pros:

Great location and great view from our " Stoker " room. Lovely large cast iron bathtub

Cons:

Our room at La Rosa Hotel had no fridge, no TV, no wardrobe, the room was scruffy, dark, drab and dreary. Cheap, very old furnishings and decor all a facade to the supposedly Goth theme. The room was cramped and uncomfortable and as it was quite expensive probably the worst value for money hotel I've ever booked .

A perfect hotel
Pros:

La Rosa is stunning! We received a lovely warm welcome and nothing was too much trouble. We stayed in Lewis which had the most incredible view of the Abbey. The room was extremely comfortable, well appointed and gorgeously quirky. I would highly recommend La Rosa and we will definitely return.

A dream!
Pros:

This is my second night at La Rosa, staying at the Arabesque room. I am enjoying everything this price of dream island has to offer. Lovely cosy boutique hotel that has everything you need, from a warm, delicious hot chocolate to warm welcoming smiles. I am so glad I picked it despite, or maybe, because of the bad reviews. They didn't make sense before my booking, and they still don't.

Many thanks for these beautiful memories of lovely Whitby.
