Pros:

The whole area felt like a small village. It was partly modern and partly old. We loved the food, the sraff, the location and the quirky bits like the lavender field.

Cons:

I can't think of anything I didn't like

Great family stay. Quite location with beautiful views.
Pros:

The size of the property was great for a family of 4 with platform out from the bedrooms with a beautiful view of the countryside.
Staff very friendly.

Cons:

Only 2 cups in the room and no glasses for the kids for juice. Only glasses were about 20 wine glasses.
Handle on the bathroom sliding door loose.
This was nothing major we still loved the property.

Pros:

We had a wonderful stay at The Black Horse Beamish and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. The hotel has a great blend of character, comfort, and charm, making it the perfect place to relax and unwind.

The room was spotlessly clean, beautifully presented, and very comfortable, with everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. The food was excellent, with generous portions and plenty of choice, and the breakfast was a great start to the day.

What really made our visit special was the friendly and attentive staff. Everyone was welcoming, helpful, and genuinely seemed to care that guests had a great experience.

The location is ideal for visiting Beamish Museum and exploring the surrounding area, while still offering a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere.

Overall, a fantastic hotel with great food, comfortable rooms, and outstanding hospitality. We'll definitely be back! 😊

The only minor issue was that service was a little busy at peak times, but this was understandable and didn't affect our enjoyment of the stay.

Great value, Great Location, Great People
Pros:

Excellent accommodation, very large bed. Posh en suite. With a smashin shower. Well supplied with all we needed. The pub is really cozy in the front bar, and very comfortable in the restaurant bit..The staff were really friendly and the food was excellent.

Heavenly weekend break at the Black Horse.
Pros:

The staff were amazing. So friendly and accommodating... The facilities were fabulous. We had a deluxe room overlooking the lavender fields... So lovely with the sun shining in during the morning. The breakfasts were divine and really presented. Again the waiting staff were so friendly. Proper northeast humour and genuine willingness to help.

Cons:

Nothing really... It was all pretty well perfect...

Lovely hotel in fabulous surroundings
Exceptional evening meal in the restaurant followed by a very good breakfast the following morning with a good selection of hot food options.
Attentive helpful staff in the hotel and restaurant.

Sehr schöne Unterkunft
Pros:

Sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Mitarbeiter, die auch über unser eingerostetes Schulenglisch hinweg gelächelt haben. Zimmer, Ausstattung und Lage entsprachen vollkommen der Beschreibung.

Cons:

Einziger kleiner Wermutstropfen wäre vielleicht eine fehlende richtige Abstellmöglichkeit für Fahrräder. Aber selbst da wurde uns schnell und unkompliziert eine Lösung geschaffen.
