Location, layout, staff, breakfast, coffee.
It’s age. Seriously needs updating.
The inn was 15 minutes south from family camping.
The breakfast was better that typical, free breakfasts. The dining room was charming, just like the inn.
The view from out room was the parking lot. The view from the end of the hallway was much nicer. I felt the mattress was a bit hard.
Very quaint location, easy to walk around town.
Many area businesses and restaurants are closed on Sundays. Bring your own activities.
Lovely grand old hotel.
Food at the restaurant was not up to the rest of the experience.
The inn has an old-world comfort to it.
Very quaint and charming.
Amazingly helpful staff
Breakfast was okay and area was fine. Place looked like it needed some repair.
Bathroom did not flush properly
An inn-provided crib or pack-n-play would have made our travel a lot easier for very little cost on their end
Ceramic mugs for morning coffee/tea please!
Very quaint, old-time charm.
The decor is tired and old, and yet that’s part of the charm.
The inn is quaint in that it is an historic building and has historic quirks, one of which were uneven floors. It was fun to walk on. The inn is beautiful! Bed was comfortable. Bathroom functional. As with historical places, the bathroom is small. Pool was very deep and open long hours. Town closes at 4pm though! :) i was excited to eat at the onsite restaurant but was disappointed when we did. There was a pianist the night we stayed, she was wonderful! Breakfast was semi typical hotel fair but was a step above in quality. No hot food on our particular stay but there was ham and cheeses along with fresh fruit, pastries, yogurt, cereal - was not disappointed. Staff was wonderful once I figured out who staff was, there was nothing to identify them but they were very attentive to guests.
The onsite restaurant. The menu in the room didnt match the menu that was given at the restaurant - staff said they recently changed menus. I had an expectation of a meal at an historical inn and was sorely disappointed. The food was blah, the meat was chewy. Again nothing to identify who staff was or wasnt. My expectation wasnt met and that is on me.
A beautiful townhouse in a classic quaint New England town. Friendly staff, beautiful interior my only issue is that I did not stay longer.
Location. Staff were over the top helpful.
Breakfast. One reason I came here is that I saw someone said the breakfast was exceptional. I'd say it was weak. Nothing hot except coffee. Well, and toast. But you're looking at cereal and yogurt and not much else.
The hot water was a little too warm.
