Lovely modern hotel across from the beach.
Pros:

Our hotel room was lovely with a king size bed, ample room and outside balcony. It is very modern and had sufficient facilities for our four day stay. The location is right on the coast across from the beach and a handy bus stop.

Cons:

Some might find it a bit of a distance to a supermarket, but there is a bus stop across the road and it is only 50 cents a trip in Queensland.

Compact hotel, easy access to the restaurant area, limited secure parking

Cons:

The restaurant and bar close around 8pm. We attended a later afternoon function in the area and returned to the hotel just before 8pm on a Friday evening and everything was closed.
You could log into the hotel wifi but it did not work, calling an uber using your phone will accessing the wifi failed. This caused us a few problems until we realised although indicating a successful login it didn’t work

Perfect Beachfront Stay at The Sebel Margate
Pros:

We loved our stay at The Sebel Margate. The location is fantastic, right across from the beach, with beautiful views from our balcony. The rooms were very generous in size, the beds were comfortable, and the bathroom was well appointed with everything we needed. It was a relaxing and comfortable stay, and the beachfront location made it a great base for enjoying Margate. We’d happily stay here again.

Cons:

While we really enjoyed the hotel itself, the booking and check-in experience was unnecessarily stressful. We were required to arrive before a specific time to check in (despite reception being there until 11 pm), this made our travel plans less flexible. We were also unable to provide a credit card payment over the phone, and the repeated messages regarding the arrangements added unnecessary pressure before our stay. Unfortunately, this detracted from what was otherwise a very pleasant experience at the hotel. A more straightforward and flexible booking and check-in process would make a big difference.

Pros:

Clean, comfy, location. If you are looking for some boutique accommodation near the beach and close to Brisbane than look no further. Half the price than staying in Brisbane CBD. Excellent!!!
