Hikone Castle Resort & Spa

Love the onsen and terrace bar that faces Hikone castle. Fabulously attentive and helpful staff - I was struggling to walk with their raised slippers that were too large for my feet and they quickly offered me 2 smaller pairs to try and choose from during dinner. I didn't even have to say anything!

大浴場も快適だったし、部屋もとても綺麗だった。夕食も地元食材がふんだんに使われていて、とても美味しかったし、朝食のブッフェも種類が豊富でとても良かったです。

Super Lage mit Blick auf die Burg. Zimmer waren schöner als auf den Fotos. Großzügige Fahrstühle und kostenlose Parkplätze für Hotelgäste vorhanden. Sehr schöner Badebereich mit 39 und 42 Grad warmem Wasser (zugänglich mit Zimmerkarte) mit Blick auf die Burg, Yukata und Kosmetikartikel werden gestellt. Direkt daneben nettes Soba-Restaurant (auch Hotelrestaurant, aber mit Reservierung bis Vorabend). Loungebereich auf der Ebene des Bads mit kostenlosen Getränken für Hotelgäste am Abend und tollem Blick auf die beleuchtete Burg. Sehr gutes japanisches Frühstück und auch annehmbare westliche Alternative (inkl. Kaffee). Uns hat es super gefallen, Personal ist äußerst zuvorkommend.

Fantastic location

The location is lovely, it's right across the castle and you can see the castle from the hotel which is really nice. You can see the castle from the onsen also which is a nice touch. I liked the onsen and the massage we got - the lady was excellent. The castle was really very lovely so this trip was worth it.

Perfect location, great view from room, delicious breakfast with many options for everyone (the tempura was my favorite), Library Lounge offers a cool hang out spot, spa was nice, free bike rentals (the bikes were in excellent condition!), and the staff was so helpful throughout my entire stay!

高齢の母親に対する気遣いが良くて、母親もそれに感動していました。朝、朝食の食卓へ向かうときに、母親の少し歩き方がおかしいのを察知し、下駄のサイズが合っていないことに気づかれて、すぐに小さいものをご提供いただき、母親とても喜んでいました。　2階のライブラリーラウンジで、夕食後にゆったりと過ごすことができ、一生忘れることのない時間を母親と過ごすことができました。ありがとうございました。

・サービスに比してというだけでなく、非常に経済的な料金で助かりました。
・朝食が非常においしかった。野菜類は、最高のお味で、パンや牛乳なども、厳選されたものに感じました。
・入浴後に、無料で飲み物がいただけたのもありがたかったです。

My room was smaller than I expected, (typical Japanese small), but very clean and comfortable. On the other hand, the bathroom was bigger than what you get in a lot of Japanese hotels, which I appreciated. From my room, I didn't have a view of the castle, but rather of the city, which was OK with me. You get a nice view of the castle every time you go to take the elevator, or while enjoying your free drink in the lounge. The public bath also wasn't particularly spacious, but when I went, I was the only one there, and soaking in the bath with the nice view of the castle was a real treat. I give high marks to the staff (front desk & restaurant). They were all very pleasant and helpful. My Japanese is good, and I don't need English from the staff, but the English support here seems sufficient, so if you don't know much or any Japanese, you should still be fine. The breakfast was a real highlight. My favorites were the made-on-the-spot tempura, and the "chef's special curry", but truly everything that I had from the nice variety of options was fresh and very tasty. The hotel's location is perfect, right next to the castle. And the walk from the station, which was only about 6 or 7 minutes, was a little shorter than I thought it would be, which was a blessing because it was the middle of August and very hot. All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

フロントの方の応対が丁寧で親切でした。食事が美味しかったのでお城が見えないお部屋でも満足でした。彦根城のすぐ近くの立地は最高でした｡

Very clean, close to Hikone Castle, free shuttle to and from the station. Great breakfast with both Japanese and Western options. Nice public bath.
