The hotel was perfect in every way. It was opposite the train station but also near to the shops, Bath Abbey and the Roman Baths. Breakfast was cooked to order with plenty of choice and not crowded. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. We also had dinner in the hotel in the evening which was very good and not overpriced. It couldn't have been any better.
Nice breakfast and breakfast service.
Convenient location being across the road from the train station.
Good selection of in-room hot drinks and biscuits.
Nice shower unit.
The hotel felt like it had started to be modernised in areas before running out of money. Rooms attempt to feel "classic" but instead just look and feel dated. The window (single pane with a nice crack in one section) in my bathroom could be looked directly into from a balcony across the road and there was no blind/curtain to cover it, making me feel very exposed while showering. Early in the morning when I went to get a drink from the tap, the cold tap was only dispensing hot water. Even after letting the water run for some time it was still warm-lukewarm. The bath itself also looked like it was falling apart. Pillows and bed were uncomfortable, especially the extremely thin pillows. Most of the hotel had a musty smell to it constantly. One new power outlet in the room, with the rest looking older than I am.
The location was great and very nice breakfast. Very charming vintage vibe. The staff was also very kind and attentive.
The facilities were quite old and the door didn't lock too well. The room was quite small too, and the walls were quite thin and you could hear everything going in other rooms.
Very good
No major issues
The most comfortable bed i have slept in before in a hotel. Breakfast was really good and plentiful. Staff were really friendly. Great location and with in easy reach of everything you want to visit.

Lovely friendly welcoming staff
Tim at reception very helpful and friendly
Comfortable, convenient, very clean room.
Evening meal at restaurant in hotel.. my food was cold, over cooked and did not have a pleasant flavor. The price was high for the food served.
Staff was very friendly, the rooms were clean and very comfortable, and the breakfast was amazing. I really enjoyed my stay at the Royal Hotel and can recommend it to other travelers.
This question is not applicable. I do not have anything bad to say about my stay at the Royal Hotel.
The reception staff were friendly and very helpful. The Bar was nicely furnished and served reasonably priced food. I was attending an event at The Forum which was a short walk away so the location was ideal, I drove but had I gone by train the station was opposite.
The single room was very small and very cramped although the bathroom was ample sized. I didn't feel it was good value for the price I paid. There was only one socket near the bed so to use it I had to unplug and move the bedside lamp. There was no hotel telephone in the room.
Great location. Lovely building.
The bedroom was nice but the bathroom had some mould on the walls. The cooked breakfast was sadly disappointing.
Lovely staff members, really welcoming. Great location and nice and quiet. The bed itself was really comfortable .
The pillows were really thin, and the toilet cistern dripped all night
Great location.
Has parking albeit unsecure
Good VFM

Todo excelente
Hacia mucho calor por la calefacción
The welcome on arrival was really friendly. Andrea was so kind, going through vegan breakfast options for my daughter. All the staff were lovely and it has a very nice, relaxed atmosphere, unlike other hotels I have stayed in. The room was spotless and comfortable and warm.
Nothing
Sehr zentrale Lage direkt gegenüber vom Bahnhof. Personal war sehr freundlich, das Zimmer schön.
Ausstattung etwas älter, aber ähnlich der Bilder auf Booking, also man wusste was einem erwartet
