Nice room in a perfect location!
Pros:

The location is perfect--right across from the train station! And then it's easy to walk everywhere in town from here. The staff were super friendly and the room was very nicely decorated. There were even little extras in the room like chocolate and water, which I really appreciated.

Cons:

Everything was pretty great. I wish I could have made the lights a little brighter in my room, and it was a fairly small room, but that was to be expected, since it was just a one person room. There really wasn't anything wrong at all. I would definitely stay here again.

Pros:

Staff pleasent enough for the most part.
Room needs updating, it wasn't too much of an issue for us but wallpaper peeling from ceiling and inside the wardrobe was very bad.
We felt it was a little pricey for the current condition of our room.
Bar area was nice enough.

Pros:

Loved the location. So convenient for the railway station and minutes away from the city centre. The property was perfect for our needs. Staff were polite and friendly. We found it perfect for older couples as it was quiet . The hotel is is a beautiful Victorian building so if you like modern, boutique hotels with all the mod cons The Royal is not for you as some people would call it dated but we found it perfect. Clean, comfortable beds, proper bed linen, plenty of storage space, a generous complimentary tray with teas, proper coffee, biscuits, bottle of water. Towels and bath robes in the bathroom. They serve a really good breakfast with both a help yourself area and a full table service for your hot breakfast. Proper leaf tea and cafetière coffee served as hot drinks. There is also a nice bar area.

Cons:

There was nothing we didn’t like but if I have to make an observation some areas could do with a re-paint as we noticed a huge stain on the bar ceiling which was obviously from a water leak and maybe some attention to the windows. But these are very small imperfections which doesn’t take anything away from this lovely hotel.

Pros:

El hotel está al lado de la estación de tren (nos venía muy bien para movernos a otras ciudades) y a su vez tambíen muy cerca del centro de la ciudad. El desayuno estaba muy bueno, productos de buffet a lo que hay que añadir el plato principal que te lo hacían al momento y a tú gusto.

Nice stay at the Royal Hotel in Bath
Pros:

Great location. Parking could be booked. Room was quiet, clean and comfortable with good tea and coffee etc in the room.

Cons:

TV didn't work but staff were very helpful in trying to get it partially working. It didn't spoil our stay as we hadn't visited to watch TV!

Nice place shame about the breakfast
Pros:

Location was fantastic. Reception staff were very friendly. Room was fine.

Cons:

Saturday and Sunday breakfast was poor. They did not cater for lactose intolerance on Saturday / Sunday (mushrooms cooked in butter) and the waitress / chef unable or unwilling to address the issue.

Great location and friendly atmosphere…
Pros:

Great location, just opposite the railway station and minutes walking to the centre of Bath. Friendly and helpful staff in all departments of the hotel.Good value rooms, well equipped with tea/ coffee etc. would go again, which is my measure of how any hotel should be.

Cons:

Slightly dated decor, but more than compensated for by the great team that run this establishment…
