Hotel Lotus Gems

Tucked away in a quiet corner next to the Thrangu Tashi Choling Monestary, this is a lovely hotel with attentive staff and a great view of Buddha Stupa. I’d happily stay here again.

Staff were super sweet, kind and helpful. Rooms were clean. Hot water was not reliable however and I had trouble getting consistent heat which could have been because I didn’t know how to work the remote. Overall it’s a great hotel -centrally located by Boudha stupa, shops, cafes and restaurants.

Excellent hotel tucked in a quiet side street just one minute's walk from the Boudha Stupa. Rooms are nicely decorated and clean. The manager and staff are very helpful.

Ottima struttura in posizione strategica

Nous sommes venus en voyage de noces en Inde puis au Nepal. L'hotel Lotus Gems est de loin l'hotel le plus propre et accueillant que nous ayons pu faire. Nous y sommes restés 7 nuits.
Nous y avons été accueilli d'une manière remarquable : bouquet de fleurs et ballons decoraient notre chambre; des pétales de roses et une rose rouge sur notre lit !
Notre chambre etait très propre et joliment décorée. Ils disposent de l'aspirateur (ce qui est loin d'etre le cas partout). Le lit et les oreillers étaient très confortables.
Nous avons eu quelques problèmes médicaux et je tiens à remercier tout le personnel de l'hôtel pour leur présence et leur soutient indispensable. Ils etaient vraiment concernés par notre état de santé et ont tout fait pour nous aider.
Enfin, l'hôtel est très bien placé, dans une petite impasse au calme.
Nous retournerons sans hésitation à l'hôtel Lotus Gems qui nous a seduit sur tous les points. Nous nous y sentions comme chez nous.

Pros: Staff is friendly and helpful. Location is great. 5 minutes walking to stupa. No tickets needed. Many restaurants nearby.
Cons: Bathroom is too small. The sink is the most basic one without a counter. There’s no room for anything else except a toothbrush. Very inconvenient. There’s no shower door to separate the shower from the rest of the bathroom. The floor is all wet after the shower. WiFi is poor in my room. The staff end up getting me another empty room just for work. But that won’t be possible during busy season. No espresso machine but just instant coffee for breakfast

Lovely character and room interiors. There are mosquitos and no screens on the windows so a bed mosquito net is needed

The stuff was extremly helpful und nice. We loved as well the tibetan interior. Forthermore there is a gorgeos terasse with View to the Boudha. And the bed is so comfortable.

This hotel combines traditional Tibetan styling with modern comfort and service. Situated near the awe inspiring Boudha Stupa, and next door to a thriving Buddhist monastery the hotel is the perfect place to stay and explore this area of Kathmandu. The staff are always ready to answer questions and provide information. In addition the hotel offers an excellent breakfast. It also has the added bonus of a washing line on the roof to dry any washing you do. And the views, while pegging out the clothes are simply stunning.

Charming facility with excellent service

Very big and clean room, Breakfast nice, Location is very close to stupa a little difficult to find and taxi not able to get close, but the restaurant view is worth the hassle.

Hand painted Tibetan Buddhist murals and mantras on stones glued too walls. Terrific staff

Endroit idéal pour visiter Bodhnath,comme souvent au Nepal la propreté n'est pas leur priorité, personnel très disponible.
