Long Term Stay Apartments

I have a claim as the hotel when I called at 5pm 8/17, informed me the property was destroyed in a fire.

Very easy and quick checkin.Location was close to public transportation.Staff was friendly.

I had an amazing stay. I was a little concerned at first but thanks to the great management and housekeeping I felt right at home. The manager and housekeeper are an asset to the company. If they are not here I would not come back. They made my stay turn from normal to fabulous and family like. Like I said they made me feel extremely welcomed and handled everything professionally. I would definitely recommend this place to friends and colleagues. Thank you so much Jmy & Cld. May your place continue to be successful because you two help make it successful. If someone leaves a bad review it is most likely false. I am unbiased, fair, educated, professional, and well travelled. I have no reason to lie and I'm a real person. Loved my stay. Very basic accommodation. Check in was easy. Overall pretty good for a one night stay.

Cheap, no frills apartment converted into a shared living quarters that accommodates 8 people on the men's side, IDK about the 'Women Only' side.
Just the basics; bunk bed, shared kitchen, shared bathroom, right next to the Woodhaven Station with J,Z train service to Manhattan.

This is a shared room with a bed. That is all. If you are not comfortable sharing a room then it's not for you. Jimmy and the cleaning lady are the nicest people!!

There is only one toilet to be shared by that many renters is a little too much to ask for especially if you stay that long.Otherwise all other living amenities are quite acceptable, I won't ask for more. I like the whole or holistic atmosphere of the residence.

It was a really cute place with really nice hosts. The other guests were nice as well. The only complaint would be the water pressure being low otherwise worth the pay

Unexpensive and good location to JFK airport. If you go to Manhattan, it takes about an hour but Buses are available near the hotel. I will use again when I need to stay near JFK!

super warm and comfy for the price, but no hot shower (or if there was, i couldnt find it). free breakfast and water

Lovely staff and a nice environment to be in as people are very friendly. A little bit of a way into the centre but once you get your head round the trains its easy and so much cheaper than an uber. It is also close to the airport which is always a bonus!

Quiet and nice and easy. Everything was smooth. And affordable

You get what you pay for, but they really did an excellent job of keeping the space clean. You walk up flights of stairs to a Dentist's office and make your way up one more flight. They ask you to show ID, you sign in and are shown to your bed. I was in the Female only room, but someone's boyfriend stayed the night. Completely fine with me. I was ignorant and came in very late that night after partying in Manhattan. Try not to do that because people will be sleeping and it is very dark. The bathroom was small, so I had to make sure I had everything I needed before going in. Towel is provided but no wash cloth. Owner's employee was very nice, and I felt safe there. If you need shelter for a night or two, I would definitely recommend this. Super close to the J train!

The staff was wonderful. Some spoke no English.
Pretty clean; even the one bathroom /shower for16+ men and women.
Up three flights of stairs.
Transportation right outside, both subway and busses. Which also meant you heard them 24/7. However, Manhattan / LGA /JFK are a good hour away.
THis was a small one bedroom apartment. Now it has 8 bunk beds (16 people) in it. One room has only a curtain as a door. Noise from kitchen and bathroom at all times.
Does have a 3x6 balcony for smokers.
The bunk beds are not really bunk beds, but twins stacked one over another and attached, no head clearance in bottom bunk.
Limited locker space (first come first served).
Doors are blocked by beds and fire escape windows are (illegally) blocked with fixed air conditioning units.
There was only one chair for a one to use. No table. Very small kitchen which nobody used.
Overpriced for what you get.
This is a clean flophouse that is dangerously configured.

Hostel was so good and they also take you to airport for free!

The stay was great the only downer is the bunk bed are very unstable

I booked my room a week before the check in date. The day off, the address provided took me and my friend to a dentist office. Confused, I called the property twice and received no answer. We were able to leave our bags in my car before volunteering for the day at an event. I called again around 1PM and still, no one picked up. At the end of our volunteering event, a whole 11 hours after my initial phone call, I called the property 6 more times and still no answer. My friend called a few times and was met with the same. It wasn't until I messaged the hostel on Expedia that I received a response -- one in which I was told that my reservation had been cancelled due to overbooking. Thankfully I received a refund but my questions about when I was going to be notified of this cancellation or why the number wasn't picking up were not answered.

Mind you, that night as we scrambled for somewhere else to stay, the Woodhaven Hostel was listed as one of the top choices for one of the few places that had space available. I don't know if the other reviews for this place are fake or what but I would urge you to book another place. Don't be tempted by the cheap price.

It was just as needed, and it serve the valuable purpose for me to lay my head down at night. It is clean the staff is friendly and professional, and if I need it shelter for the night I would recommend this hostel.

Great experience! Very friendly and they will help you in anyway possible
