Great location, friendly staff
No elevator or air conditioning
Host was lovely and friendly, location was excellent, food staff were lovely, definitely recommend a stay there.
Breakfast options and restaurant / bar right within the hotel.
Location close to beach
Room carpet was moist on day of arrival
Great location, excellent food at restaurant. Management was excellent, took care of any concerns we had.
Lovely location
Stayed at this hotel around 9 or 10 times over past several years and it has declined in that time.
It needs tlc. The bathroom floor was stained, watered down soap & shower gel. The carpet in the bedroom was wet! Had a general feeling of being run down. Such a shame as used to look forward to staying here! I doubt if I’ll return
An interesting history and good sea front position
Very steep flights of stairs to the top floor but no lift.
Nice location, friendly staff at the counter, and a lot of great potential. My hope was to have a quiet, beach-side stay that we could sleep in and move at our own pace.
We ended up not staying in the hotel that night. Once we got to the room let me be clear: it is a passable, touristy spot. They know you're not coming back so it's about doing the minimum. And that's the issue: it was always about the minimum. Minimum cleaning. Minimum insulation from noise. Minimum everything. The decoration was AI-generated Oscar Wilde...
The main reason we left: it wasn't comfortable. The Wilde Bar downstairs earns its name. I'm fine with loud music but it least has to be GOOD music.
The room was cramped and even though the bathroom was recently renovated (a few years back it seemed), it altogether was not the vacation we thought we were going to get.
I empathize with the owners—I imagine it's not easy running an independent hotel in such a volatile time. But I did pay over €800 for 3 nights and ended up absconding to the Royal Marine, which was half that price (same day!) and exactly what we were looking for.
Everything went well. Staff were good, food good, location excellent. No complaints at all.
Nothing to complain about.
It was a great location and cute house
The staff was missing after we checked in. I had booked 2 twin beds, but our room only had a double bed. I couldn’t find a person again our entire stay to speak to and get this corrected.
Bray is a Party Town, but this hotel was quiet. I woke up to the sounds of birds and ocean. Loved the food in the restaurant. It was within walking distance of the town, across the street of the beach. This hotel had parking. Bray is difficult to find parking in. Well worth the 20e a day. It is a historic building. The shower water was strong and hot.
Historical and beautiful
Nothing at all
Great Location, not far from Train station, shops or food options close to the sea.
Service clean after 3 days, out of 4 staying could be better
