I have been at this hotel for New Year with my wife. Reception gave me free upgrade suite room (pictures of that room I will share here). It was very comfortable big sized room with living and sleeping spaces. Room has smart TV with YouTube and Netflix access. Also they have indoor swimming pool which we have used as well. As you know on special dates all hotels increase their price, but Atlas Hotel was mid range hotel with full hotel needable services. Nothing to say about bad sides. In general very good.
Beautiful place where I felt myself at home. Big thanks for all stuff. Hope in 2025 I will be there again and could enjoy full reinnivated hotel facilities. Advised all my friends in Poland, by the way there is direct flights from Warsaw. Enjoyable
Azerbaijan is a wonderful confluence of the erstwhile USSR, Europe and Arab richness. People are friendly. The city is blessed with cool winds, natural beauty, technological innovation and beautiful people. Great places of historical, natural and modern significance, most of which will impress you a lot.
I visited Baku with friends and engaged a private van instead of joining the SIC (Bus) bandwagon. We wanted that flexibility, hence paid about 15% extra - it was a great idea as we could stretch our time per our convenience. Our visits primarily included Baku city tour, Old Baku+Nizami street, Baku Boulevard, Little Venice, Heydar Aliyev Cultural Center, Upland Park (Highland Park) and Flame Towers, Palace of the Shirvanshahs, Gobustan/Mud volcanoes, Shahdag (with optional entertainment rides), Ateshgah Fire Temple & Yanardag Fire Mountain.
Indian food is available aplenty at many restaurants across Baku. If you are a vegetarian, you might miss the typical Indian breakfast, but you will still be able to manage relatively well.
Most establishments accept cards, would suggest to keep some limited amount of AZN/USD in case a need arises.. Else, cards should suffice. We were able to survive the entire 5 day trip with a forex-plus card and USD 50/- in cash (incl some shopping for chocolates and local trinkets/mementos)
Last, language is a major hurdle as most folks speak/understand only Azaerbaijani or Russian. English is a major obstacle. Recommend usage of translator apps.
Baku also has a decent nightlife with eateries, restaurants, night-clubs remaining open long into the night.
Wish you a great vacation and hope you enjoy Baku's beauty!
Atlas Hotel Baku, a good budget hotel located neither too far nor too close to Old Baku/Nizami street. However, there are many clubs and cafés (including a nightclub right in its basement) near it.
What I liked:
1. The staff is very customer service oriented.
2. The breakfast buffet is more than adequate. You will get a wide range of foods there. They have ample options to cater to Indians too. The bakery section of the buffet is amazing.
3. Good rooms! I got a suite room and it was very spacious.
4. There is 24X7 supermarket right opposite the hotel. It was a lifesaver. From currency exchange, fruits, beverages, snacks to baked goods, they have it all.
5. Do not get SIM card from airport. The reception offers affordable data plans with local SIM cards (physical SIM, not eSIM).
What can be improved:
1. The spa area/gym area was not very well maintained.
2. The room had a vinegar-ish odour. However, the staff was courteous to provide a complimentary upgrade to a suite which was lovely.
3. In the breakfast buffet, some egg dishes were kept under the vegetarian counter. It needs to be looked at seriously.
4. The pool area was not very appealing.
5. The hotel reception does not offer eSIM which was a hassle.
6. Majority of the staff does not know English so you will need a translator app frequently. Only the staff deputed at the reception is fluent in English.
Overall, I will recommend this hotel for a good, comfortable and budget friendly stay.
Atlas hotel is based out of a prime location with a 24/7 market right opposite its entrance and a multitude of restaurant options. Different banks near its vicinity for exchange, would recommend Kapital Bank for its service and great exchange rate.
Pls do not bother with Unibank near the hotel as staff service is horrendous!
I had opted for Atlas hotel due to the sheer number of positive affirmations for its manager Mr. Agshin Shiraliyev and I concur they are absolutely right.
He recommended our tour Guide Bakhtiyer, an amazing individual and great fun to be with especially outskirts of Baku drives which are lengthy in duration so a good company is a must have!
Breakfast is included and for those with Indian tastes, they had catered in the week that I stayed Indian breakfast buffet along with vegetarian options. The only downside to the stay was WiFi issues we faced for two days however it was fixed.
All in all would highly recommend to stay at this hotel with a special mention again for Mr. Agshin and effusively friendly staff Mr. Aamir Khan who made the stay a memorable one.
Absolutely sub standard hotel. Unduly hyped and don't go by the pictures uploaded on apps and social media platforms.
We traveled as family and friends in November 2023 to this hotel in Baku.
In our local Indian language, it's a "chaddar badal" hotel. Means it's a hotel of a category of 2 hours short bookings.
Floor mats in rooms were dusty and shabby.
Phone spray/jet spray in washroom was non functional. When informed the management denied to accept the problem and asked to use it as it, saying it's a standard usage pattern.
Toilet accessories too were missing. Television was non functional.
In the basement is a night pub more so, used as a pick up point.
Very limited options for breakfast with rude service staff. No live kitchen.
Not recommended for family stays.
I booked a room at Atlas Hotel Baku when I traveled to AZB last May this year. As a new traveler to the country, I had to arrange my trip myself including the accommodation. Agshin reached out to me ahead of my flight to ensure that everything is in order for my arrival. He checked and arranged for airport transfer, waited and greeted me at the reception of the hotel. The check-in was smooth and he was personally there to have me assisted for early check in. The room was great and on-boarding services was really nice. I was greeted with a good snacks of local fruits in the room. They secured my room well and made sure to do it fast as I have to leave for an immediate tour upon my arrival. Agshin and the staff also made advance arrangement to upgrade my room to a solo King room. They gave me pointers and references where to go, a driver who is available for me if I would need to tour around despite having a separate private tour that I arranged.
The breakfast is also great! It is just unfortunate that the hotel is quite a distance from the center and I had to change and move my stay somewhere near the center and another night in Gabala. When I told Agshin that I would have to cancel the rest of my stay, he courteously and professionally checked if there are any changes they can do to accommodate my needs and still stay in the hotel. When we discussed that I would need to move, he is so kind enough to arrange my cancellation and FULL REFUND of the rest of the booked days. He even waived-off the cancellation charges noted in booking website.
I would have stayed for long if I didn't need to be out and away from Baku for some days. Definitely Atlas Hotel Baku gave me the best first impression of the place that has set the great mood of my vacation in Azerbaijan!
Worst ever service. After a long travel we reached our hotel which was booked before our departure from home country. We are handed the key and we went to our room but the door was open and the room was completely messed up and dirty. I came back the reception to talk but was asked to wait and then my Husband came but the man in the reception was helpless. My husband asked to change the room but says no more rooms and no action taken to clean that room also. Still waiting in the lobby (already for 15 minutes) hoping the room to be cleaned soon.
I stayed at the Atlas Hotel a year ago with the group. I came to this hotel again this year. We couldn't sleep the first night we stayed at the hotel because our side corner was noisy. We asked the hotel management to change our room. They quickly changed our room. Thank you for that. The rooms were comfortable and warm. An indian breakfast was prepared specially for our group. And the food was delicious. The staff were friendly and helpful. Everything was very good at the gala dinner held at the club inside the hotel. The hotel is also close to Ganjlik Mall and Haydar Aliyev Center. The only drawback of the hotel's location is that there is construction in the area. But this is a temporary problem.
Suddenly plan was made, we booked through the travel agency and while booking all seems fine. Even localities and near around hotels we searched we mapped and found suitable.
We started early in the morning from Abu Dhabi and we have flight from DXB. Azerbaijan airlines was superb and hospitality was awesome. I must recommend to all. We arrived at Baku airport and driver dropped us to Hotel and reception comes into action. He was asking our passports as security, I asked him with surprise what security. He explained as if we would damage any property in a given suits then he may charge us and we can’t run away.
Then room service staff are like if they wanna clean then they clean. First day they clean without our permission and second we thought he will come and clean and we are like this how they clean the suits. And second day room service staffs did not turn up. After multiple calls to the reception No one came and we are with our 1 year old child and we finished our day with many arguments with reception.
In our package only breakfast was included, but they not serving much apart from all items made from eggs. No special variety of dishes are found. Generally we prefer heavy breakfast in the morning.
I would not suggest this hotel to anyone.
Everything was amazing It’s clean with good price, and friendly reception staff .
and a nice romantic restaurant. breakfast food was very good too.t has a location and excellent service specially the stuff and the help they gave us also it is close to everything you need.. special thanks to Nigar in the reception.
I love Atlas hotel so much) staff are so kind and helpfull especially front office and reception who is name Hussain, Nigar and waiter Nurali. they love to help people. The rooms we stayed in were spacious and receiving daylight. all of his employees were friendly and friendly. they were dealing with our problems as if they were their own. we spend less money more service than hotels we see
It is not 5 star hotel. Sevices of room is very bad. They not clean daily rooms. They do not take tooth brush in the rooms. The noise polution of elevator in the rooms near elevator is high because it has the beeb in all floor for each stop. In next i never go this hotel
We went with a group of 16 people.rated as 5 star but not up to even 3 star standards. Only one or two people can speak English at breakfast area.no name tags for foods.even you ask they just come and explain say chicken n go.as per them all chicken related food but veg food have sausages. This is absurd.how come vegetable food have sausages.not reccomend for anyone. Never go there.
Very helpful staff who helped to spend an unforgettable vacation. Helped with any question. The hotel is neat. Comfortable and warm rooms. Breakfast was varied and a large selection of dishes.
Next vacation will definitely be back at the same hotel.
he location is very convenient, 10 minutes drive from the city. the staff is helpful and will always help with organizing taxis and solving other problems.
The rooms were warm and cozy. The atmosphere is festive at the hotel. I will advise all friends to visit the hotel Atlas.
The Hotel is Far away from City Center and is very Bad in Service. The staff are Rude and non cooperative. The breakfast is Pathetic .. No items that can be call as good.
Only two items is there for snacks , No fruits and Juice. Cleaning the Room is not done on daily basis . You have ask again and again to clean the room properly.
Don,t go to Atlas hotel. Cheaters ...
