Hotel Kitzinger Hof

The hotel is family owned and operated. Breakfest is traditional German fair, very good and plenty of it. The family that operates the hotel are truly lovely people. THis was my first time back to Kitzingen in 30 years.

Wow! The very young owner/ manager (Chris) works so hard to please his guests. He personally took care of a few minor issues we had immediately and made sure we felt at home in his boutique hotel. The room was clean and quite up to date.

We loved the breakfast. Fresh plump raspberries, blueberries, and blackberries. The eggs were cooked the way we like them, and the bread was so fresh!

We will be back for sure.

Big and shinny room, clear and normaly equiped (fridge, LCD TV and several sockets for charging) but the shower could be renovated. Unfortunatly Wi-fi was not working on our floor during our stay:(
Breakfast was served in a cozy cellar. Healty and fresh option in big assortments. Staff was really kind and helpful during the stay.

We stopped in Kitzingen because I was stationed here as a soldier 33 years ago. This historic house/inn of Kitzingen was beautiful. The staff and amenities were great and the included breakfast in the ancient cellar was a definite plus. It is within the town of Kitzingen and an a easy walk to the river. Its character, charm, and staff made it a beautiful place to stay. I've read some of the negative reviews and I don't agree with any of them. Lifts in older buildings are rare, if non-existent, and we found parking without a problem. I would recommend staying here.

I tried to stay at this hotel and really needed a mid-way sleepover on my drive from Croatia to the UK. I searched long and hard for a hotel with late check-in (a challenge in Germany), free parking, wifi and breakfast, mid-route. I eventually booked Kitzinger Hof and thought the matter done. However, they cancelled at the last minute - even though the reservation was already confirmed. I was on my way to Germany already and, if my wife was not available to spend another hour of her life to find another place, I would have to sleep in my car. In all our years of travelling and booking hotel this has never happened. Never did a hotel cancel a booking at the last minute without a single care about the customer. This is very disappointing and unprofessional. We will avoid this hotel at all cost in the future and, unless you wish to get a last-minute surprise like me, I suggest you do the same. Terribly unprofessional.

Stayed here also 2013 only overnight on the way south. Came back for the breakfast - and even another Danish family including two children, trying to strip the breakfast buffet in order to fill up (for free) their lunch boxes before other guests had their breakfast, did not spoil the pleasure. Rooms are ok, but once you tried the breakfast, you'll come back.

I stayed with my husband at Kitzinger Hof one night. Our room was large, old and bit noisy. We had to wait service on a Friday morning at 07.00 - it was not good since we had to hurry. But if I compare Kitzinger Hof with the hotels I've seen in Germany, I would say that the hotel was ok.

Pleasant and welcoming hosts, large and bright rooms, large bathroom and equipped with everything you need. Very rich and varied breakfast with fruit, meat, cheese, milk, eggs ... anything you want, tastefully served in an old wine cellar. Everything was perfect. I will definitely return and highly recommend this hotel.

Thank you Mrs. and Mr. Gegner for making my 5 days in Kitzingen and in the Kitzinger Hof so much fun. You treated me and my friend Monika like family. Your place is clean and comfortable, and the breakfast each morning was a feast.
