Had to walk through dining room that smelt of cat pee. Dreadful
Room was as expected - tiny, windows that didnt shut, and cold
so when i arrived i was directed next door to the "the golden nile hotel" the owner and the staff who worked there were all very welcoming, and helpful throughout the stay. theres free wifi, free parking outside, and breakfast is included in the price. the room was clean and the bed was comfortable.. as this is a low price b+b there are a few thing not so positive. the hotel is in need of refurbishment, the room i stayed in had a gap in the window, but i was provided with a portable heater...
overall the the price i paid, this was a very find. with much more positives than negatives. this would be a hotel i would recommend to other people. (at present writing this review, iam looking at dates to book again for 2019)
I booked the Richley but got moved into the hotel next door the golden Nile next door due to new management. The staff were mega friendly and the room I had no issues with. Breakfast was ok. Only real problem was the tv not working but obviously that’s just specific to my room.
The hotel was good 5 mins from all clubs and bars perfect location for the promenade. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. Would stay there again
dissapointed was moved next door as hotel was full was like staying in an old workhouse completecdump
Staff very friendly breakfast good was worth the money
Staff was amazing very nice and welcoming lovely rooms
The gent who runs the hotel is fantastic, are as all staff. Rooms were awful though... Really bobbly bedding that look like they'd been used sinse 1970. We paid £170 for one night for 3 rooms between 4 guests. Bit of a rip off for what you get. We stayed somewhere much cheaper the second night which was lovely and clean.
Booked with the richly hotel but ended up being given a room in the ajoinig hotel the Nile. The hotel is definitely in need of really good clean as we had blood smeared on the wall and there was so much dust under the beds that I could of used it as a blanket ! On a positive note the gentleman who checked us in was very nice and welcoming .
Limited words so bear with me.
No wi-fi or internet anywhere in Hotel
No Casino
No Restaurant
Not nestled on beach, quite a way up a side street
No coffee/tea makers in room, only tiny kettle
No front desk exists, only owner sitting in bar with feet up watching tv
Checked in 3pm, no room ready, supposed to be able to check in at 2pm
Tv in room had no remote and I couldn't reach buttons, so couldn't use
We had en-suite but very tiny, not good for "ample" people.
Bathroom light cord was snapped high up, being small I couldn't reach it, so couldn't be used.
Toilet on step, again being small, my feet dangled
No Daily housekeeping, room was dirty when we arrived (see photos)and wasn't touched while we were there
No cleaning been done in months
Bin in bathroom had previous occupants rubbish in it
Towels were ripped and dirty asked for others but never got them, bedding was well worn bed was solid made unprofessionally with what looks like pallets.
I asked for iron board, housekeeper had to go to different hotel for it, couldn't use it (look at photos)
Socket in tiny corner area of room away from mirrors and whatnot
Payment was a nightmare, they couldn't get it to go through the machine, was cancelled 3 times, asked for cash. Checked bank and payment was taken, got home and a few days later got call asking for money, somehow payment was "bounced back" gave card details 3 times, they still had trouble, I had to transfer it to them, but they gave me private account and not hotels
Not the best b&b I've stayed in but the staff were brilliant and couldn't do enough for you, the breakfast was pretty good too but for what I paid and what I needed it did exactly what it said on the tin (so to speak).
The staff/owners were very accomodting and could not do enough for you. Excellent breakfast also.
I had come to Blackpool to see a band at a gig, arrived at the hotel to find out I'm not staying in it but moved next door to another hotel.not good business I think, won't be using it again......
It was a standard no frills budget room
good value steve nice man helpfull and cooked a nice breakfast.
not the current owners fault, but when we arrived , the hotel had changed hands 2 days before, and we were not booked in for that night, however, we had been wrongly booked in the following night. The current owner was as helpful as he could possibly be, but we had to find alternative accomodation and this was on the first day of the illuminations!
I have to say, the hotel and restaurant looked ok.
Very basic and outdated, would expect more for the price. Definitely some revamping required.
Positives - staff very friendly and very handy location
Når jeg kom frem til hotellet, så hadde dem ikke noe rom ledig. Det jeg fikk beskjed om var at dem ikke reserverte rom på nett. Måtte finne meg et nytt hotell
