Was in Arran many years ago , we see The Corrie Hotel refurbished and modern

The remote location was good. Hotel facilities excellent. Obiously good food as hotel full of locals for the Sunday meals. Great outside area on fine days.
We booked the cheaper no view room. However this is the worst atmosphere room in all our world travels, room 8. We spoke to hotel and sugested this be advertised as a last resort option so people understand it is not just the view, they believed their booking system couldn't handle that. This is not reflective of any of the other rooms.
The location was perfect.
Staff were friendly and helpful and worked hard to create a very lively atmosphere.

Although understand the property is old and has limitations, it was inconvenient to have a private bathroom two doors down. Fumbling with the key at night when you need a wee was annoying.
We had to cut our holiday unexpectedly short and wasn’t offered any compensation. To be expected but just stating the fact.
Food was excellent as was the bar
Very tiny room, small double bed, no head height so hard to stand up, loose plaster in bathroom,, no tv, no wifi
The food was outstanding as was the service. All the staff were fantastic Andrew one of the owners made us feel particularly welcome which was greatly appreciated.
I would be nitpicking as anything negative would be severely minor and not worth mentioning to be honest.

If I’m being picky the shower didn’t drain well, I would prefer a tv in the room but I get the idea. Other than that all good.

The breakfast was good with an excellent for hot and cold.
Our room number fourteen was smaller than we expected with sloping ceilings making getting into one side of the bed difficult.
Extremely friendly welcome, set up brilliantly for dogs, delicious food, excellent service from all staff.
Our bedroom door would not close unless pushed very firmly - something wrong with the spring loaded mechanism.

The Full Scottish breakfast is epic. The bar is very friendly and has a good stock of beers and whiskey/gin
Staff were very friendly, food was good and reasonably priced. Location was good for exploring the island.. only area of disappointment was our room. Whilst comfortable it was very small and sold as a sea view. Te window did look out to sea but was very small. If we go again we would certainly look to see if we could get a slightly larger room.
