The hotel is a bare bones place. Not fancy and showing its age. It is clean and the area is quiet. It is much cheaper than most Richmond accommodations. If there's one complaint it's that the room didn't have a fridge or microwave. I didn't check and that’s on me. The bar/restaurant is closed permanently. I don't know if something else will replace it. There is a cafe for breakfast but I didn't eat there. Steveston village is very nice. There's lots of places to walk around and eat during the day. If you want to go to the main part of Richmond I recommend using public transit as driving around Richmond is an exercise in extreme patience. There are buses within a short walk of the hotel. Overall I think this is a nice place for basic lodging. I'd stay here again if needing a place in Richmond.
Good location, clean rooms, great place to stay
Our stay was really great. The room was larger than expected and the bathroom was very nice and recently updated. The only let down was the buck and ear pub on the main floor was closed indefinitely. Aside from that it was great. Great location and great people.
We stay at the Steveston Hotel everytime we visit. The staff is incredibly helpful. The rooms are getting somecwear and tear, and it would be great to see some updating. For example, the bed is a bit lumpy, the pillows are too soft, the miniblinds are broken, removed and never replaced, the curtains are from the 1980s. Parking is free and plentiful, but I was sad to see the Ear and Buck permanently closed.
The hotel was well situated on the quiet side of town. Very walkable to many great eats. Parking was great. It's a shame that the pub is closed downstairs.
This “historic” hotel had a steep staircase leading to a small room with a view of the rooftop. I had a poor sleep due to sagging mattress. However, the staff were able and provided assistance with the wifi and the neighbour was very pleasant to explore.
Very well appointed room, all amenities. Very clean. Spacious. Quiet. Exceptional value for what you get. Will be my destination hotel in Vancouver from now on.
Really nice small hotel, staffs are very friendly and the hotel is very clean.
Quaint little hotel with character. Quiet area and polite, friendly staff.
Staff was super great and nice
Very cool place to stay at
I do not recommend the hotel, truly the location is the only amazing part. This was our 2nd stay, 1st was good, room extremely dated but clean. This time brought friends to stay, they had no hot water, and our room was terrible. No upkeep to say the least, broken closet door, no fridge, dry wall dust coming out of peeling paint, missing counter top laminate, towel rack falling out of wall, etc.
The restaurant and bar are permanently closed. The room is outdated but the bathroom renovation was great. An elevator should be a necessity for travelers and there isnt one. Great location to Steveston wharf.
Great location right in the Stevston village
Nice location for visiting this lovely community and nice people working there. Was clean and comfortable as well as charming.
Property is quaint. Glad to have stayed. Staff was nice. Hotel is in bad need of updating/ repair. Rooms are inconveniently set up. Fixtures broken, paint peeling, baseboards taped, stairs broken, banister could be more secure for such a steep incline. May be just poor use of space also. Not really sure of daily maid service. Location is amazing. Happy with the town and hotel was sadly, just ok. I wanted to like it more. I may be back but stay in a room facing the cannery.
awesome location - clean room and updated facilities
The room is large and clean, with a newly renovated bathroom. However, the front desk is a pass-through counter to a cold beer and wine store. The halls are worn and shabby. If I had not prepaid, I would have stayed elsewhere after I saw the condition of the building.
The staff was very helpful. Hotel was right in the middle of the Steveston and all the shops and activities
Liked that it was close proximity. Room was unclean, hair in the bathroom (floor, shower). Shower curtain filthy, paint peeling on bathroom wall. Shampoo dispenser didn’t work. Coffee area spilt coffee stains.
Website pictures inaccurate.
Disappointing for price we paid.
