Great Stay in Ao Nang

Friendly and helpful staff, clean and spacious room. Perfect location — close to the beach, restaurants, and easy access to tours. Would definitely stay again!

The place is relatively basic but clean. We had a family room which was great. The only issue is the toilet does not work well. Upon cleaning yourself, you leave all the area wet. This is the issue with the toilet. Besides that great location, a plunge pool (do not assume all the rooms have a pool - there is only one)

The property was good for the price.

They allow you to borrow umbrellas, books, and beach mats. The staff is extremely nice and helpful. The room always smelled so clean.

Good points:
1. Location!!!! Just 5 mins walk to the Ao Nang Beach. And from there you can take the long tail boat to the Railay beach/4 Islands!! Although someone thinks that staying in Ao Nang Beach is too touristic, it is really convenient considering you need to take shower immediately after visiting beaches/islands. And there are many shops and restaurants around too!
2. Budget Price with such location
3. Room is spacious !!! with a nice balcony.
4. Generally clean.
5. Consistent and strong supply of hot water.
6. Smart TV provided.
7. Some guests say that the hotel is noisy, but if you stay in the B session, it is extremely quiet at night.

Bad points:
1. The toilet design is quite outdated. Not many spaces/hooks to put your stuff in the toilet.
2. There are many insects and mosquitos.
3. Staff are not very attentive.

This is a little tropical oasis right in the heart of Ao Nang by the beach.
Really friendly and helpful staff, the trips were much cheaper than on the street. The rooms were comfortable. Our only gripe was that we had a noisy AC unit outside our bathroom. But we wore ear plugs so it was ok. I’d definitely stay here again as it was so reasonable.

This is a great stay here the hotelwas well located in an area not far from the beach. There are quite a few amenities all within a short distance. The groundsof ghe hotel were not very well kept but the location help to make ford being so close to the beach. I wasn't particularly happy with the room as it. It appears that the room has not been dusted quite some time and there was a nail sticking out of the floor as you entered the bathroom overall, I will give this property a rating of 3 out of 5

Great location to explore Ao Nang. Rooms are functional but good value for money. The staff were very friendly.

This property is very cute and is in an amazing location. The room was very nice and clean with an extremely comfortable bed. The breakfast that was included was cooked to order and yummy. The hotel was so close to everything (restaurants, the beach, the fire show and so many stores) that I couldn’t have asked for a better location. The only downside of this hotel was the pool because it was so tiny however we did not care because we had the beach. The price, room , location and cleanliness was amazing and I would highly recommend staying here.

I was very hesitant when we first walked up the hill to Whalecome. It is a very small hotel, but in all honesty what more do you need.
Our room was VERY CLEAN. Although there is wear and mostly from the tropical setting the room did the trick. They also had the most comfortable bed that we had slept on in the 2 weeks we were in Thailand.
Pool area is small but clean and does the trick to cool u off.
Breakfast was small but good. Really no complaints especially because it is included with your stay.
It is also surprising quiet in the rooms.

Here is the best bonus. The staff is amazing. They were kind and accommodating.

We stayed here for 2 nights. The day we were checking out , I had not noticed that I left my wallet in the safe. The manager had a hard time tracking us down but ended up finding a number to reach us at through expedia. He found us back in Canada and told us he had my wallet.
He was kind enough to take it to DHL and mail it to us. I was in total shock. He actually took time and phoned us. And offered to .ail it to us. Like what?? I am telling you if we were in Mexico and left my wallet it would have been gone and emptied and I guarantee you my credit card would have been used.

I am so grateful and thankful Whalecome has honesty and integrity in their staff.
I highly recommend this place. The price is good. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are clean.

Mysigt, litet hotell mitt i ao Nang. Man störs inget av utelivet trots att det ligger centralt. Trevlig personal!

The rooms were cleans. The staff very nice and the pool was clean and warm. The grounds were in very poor shape. Railings on patios were rusted and worn. Wood beams over the patio were black with mildew. Walls on the building exterior were chipped and black w mildew. Pool deck was worn and badly in need of paint. The entire exterior needs paint and a pressure wash. The patios didn’t have any comfortable chairs. With a little effort and paint, this could be brought back to life.

Recently stayed for 5 nights and loved Whalecome

Cute little place just off the main street and everything you need is very close by.

The breakfast was good and quite sufficient

The ladies cooking breakfast were so lovely ..

The room very clean with great aircon.
