Hotel booking
Pros:

First I was really disappointed because the hotel had cancelled my booking well in advance but I was not made aware of this. I arrived at the hotel to check in only to be told that there was no such a thing. I did not have any money on me as I had paid through Paypal. I had to borrow money from my friends in order to be able to stay there for a night. In the morning as I was having shower the power and water cut off and I had to come out of the shower dirty. I went to have breakfast which was a nightmare, hot mango juice and poor food quality. I had to go to another hotel where I lived until I came back. It was a nightmare and I was really disappointed need to be compensated for the inconveniences.

Pros:

The rooms require serious renovation and revamp. The outdoors are lush and green however, the rooms, restaurant & bathroom/toilet very run down.

Pros:

Built ~1950 and not really improved much since. I once stayed in a Ghurka Officer's Mess in Nepal that seemed to have the same architect.

Wouldn't take much to bring it back to being a lovely anachronism, pleasant surroundings in a convenient location.

Facilities basic and lots of minor irritations (missing key to balcony, shower temperature always too hot or too cold, dining room details, unaware of our booking)

Staff pleasant and willing but no evidence of leadership.
