This cute place has everything you need for a nice stay on Isabela. Perfect location for the beautiful beach (across the street), 3 min walking to town center, very nice breakfast (eggs cooked per order, fruit, delicious yogurt, cheese, ham, baked goods). It’s a simple tourist class hotel, but they thought about everything. They have a place to wash sand off your feet after beach, a place to dry your wet clothes. Nice and friendly stuff. They are also a tour operator, we took a Sierra Negro volcano hiking tour with them and it was very good.
Great small hotel with very friendly and helpfull staff. Good location near the beach.
Our room was nice, clean and cosy. Breakfast was good.
Only minus was the water in the shower, it was either very cold or very hot.
This is such a nice hotel! And the staff was so lovely. And the island is charming - I would stay much longer but, unfortunately, one has to work as well.
Te room is basic, but we did not need more. Breakfast OK. Beach is 30 meters, restaurants all over, the people friendly and helping with everything.
Lovely hotel with really helpful and friendly staff. Great location in walking distance to the beach, pier and town centre. Nice breakfast and coffee. Good facilities for after you check out. I went for a dive after check out and before the ferry and I was able to get a shower in between
If you are looking for a clean, family run experience where the staff are genuinely interested in making you feel at home then this is the place for you. Made me feel very special on my 49th birthday with lots of very thoughtful gifts. You won’t regret staying here.
The room is just worn. It is clear that there is no pride of ownership.
The bathroom door had a build up of dirt and fingerprints of months and the bathroom mirror was spotted.
There are issues with the water in the shower. It sputters and sometimes quits for a moment and switchs from hot to cold.
Breakfast was very basic and 30 minutes late.
We were told we would be able to shower when we came back from our day tour but the " shower" was a hose outside.
On the plus side the staff was friendly and the bed comfortable.
The AC was quiet, hot water, they served a very nice breakfast on the patio. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It is located across the street from the beach. Very central to everything in town. A very good value for the $50-60 price range.
I booked this hotel almost 11 months prior the check in with booking.com . What a coincidence that almost 3 weeks before of check in the owner contacted me that he wanted me to move me to a different location because he was going to do maintenance in the 3 rooms that I reserved with a big family of 9 people. Anyways it was a flat lie. I personally went there and ask the front there for a room they told me they were sold out What the owner did was to sell my rooms to others agencies or other people that usually buy tours and hole package so they he tour people pressure the owner to give the rooms to them may be at higher prices then the owner try to move you in a worse hotel and amenities for the same price I was going pay. This practice is very common in Galapagos because it happened to me in saint Cristóbal and Isabela inland. I was talking to the people in the industry this practice is very común unless you pay high dollars for a normal room. If you want to travel to Galapagos try to pay in advance because most the hotel let you reserve without pay but they may cancel ( nice strategy )if you do not pay most of hotels will sell higher price later . VERY COMMUN PRACTICE IN GALAPAGOS MOST OF HOTELS !!!! also when you arrive you have to pay them in cash or they want to charge you up 12% in fees if you use the credit or atm card. Now this was a huge inconvenience for myself because it was very difficult to get accommodations for a big family at the last minute and I had to pay more money for less amenities tooso my suggestions is get it with reputable website so in case they cancel the website try to get another hotel me and make them pay you for the difference in the price . In reality it is very challenging to get to puerto Villamil too many fees and road block small delay in your flight can cause lot of stress-and it think you do not get the service and the hospitality in return for what you pay for it!!! Everyone is trying to get your money for not much in return
Stayed here with my family of 4. The owner arranged our Tunels trip (excellent) and our Sierra Negra trek (so much more than we expected!). This saved us a lot of time in our short adventure on the wonderful Isla Isabela.
Good location, average rooms for the reasonable price, but nice and clean. Good breakfast each morning. I would definatly recommend to other travelers.
(+) Before I went , they responded to every e-mail I sent them. While there we felt very taken care of with the two owners that ran the place. Breakfast was really good and fresh. they will have breakfast ready anytime you want which was helpful for the early morning adventures. Whenever I had a question, I knocked on there door and they were there. The roof top had three hammocks that we enjoyed with views of the mountains and the sea. Beds were very confortable and the room were spacious.
(-) MY only complaint was the showers. The first day they were really hot and the next three days they were luke warm. One day we complained and hey got the water a little warmer. If this is a concern I would e-mail them and ask if they have fixed this problem. It is worth the effort to find out because other than this this place was great.
The room was not on the beach as advertised, but on a street one block from the beach. We liked that out door place to sit and 24 hr coffee. The room air-conditioner did not work and the over head light kept blinking all night. The outside temp was 85 degrees. The staff did not care about either of these problems and offered no compensation. Our room was moved the next day.
We were sent here for breakfast from an expensive resort on the sea front. Whilst the buffet ‘budget breakfast’ may be as anticipated for it guests, cold coffee, and absence of choice, it was totally unacceptable for the price we were paying. Staff with attitude didn’t add to the experience. We refused to eat hear again and for the rest of our stay ate breakfast at the Sun & Coffee - that location is highly recommended.
We stayed December 2019, and we loved it. Everyone was kind and helpful. The room was clean, and the breakfast was just right. Eggs, fresh fruit, bread, and coffee. There was filtered water in the outside common area which was helpful. A couple doors down there is a little market, and across the street is a good restaurant. The beach was across the street and down a very little path. There was a little frig and AC which we did not use. Cristina was quite helpful. I dream of my return.
I loved that the staff were helpful and attentive. The place was right next to the beach and an easy walk to restaurants. Cristina was a special treat and makes guests feel important. What a wonderful young woman!
El hotel se encuentra bien ubicado y el personal es muy atento!
Nice little hotel. Very nice location with beach across the street. Staff is friendly and speaks English. They were very accommodating with showers before our travel after checking out. Very little hot water but to be expected on the island.
Huge room with great facilities. Management and staff excellent
First the pros: A very short walk to the beach (<1 minute). Fantastic outdoor common areas including a shaded meeting area, a hammock, and a lounge chair. The breakfast was simple but delicious.
Next the neutrals: The staff were polite, but not overly friendly. Rooms were clean but cramped. Our four person room probably would have been better suited for three or possibly two.
Finally, the cons: The sheets had some minor stains. However, since the entire hotel is immaculate, we knew they were stained rather than dirty. Also, beware that you will be charged something like a 10% additional charge if you want to use your Visa credit card.

This hostal was located close to the beach. Very convenience to walk around. Restaurants, tour agencies, pharmacy were within a walking distance. The facilities of the hostal were acceptable. However, the room was small for one person. Shower was not strong enough. Bed was okay. Wifi was very very slow(typical for the internet in the Galapagos) Staffs were nice and friendly.
