It's a very nice room and pub with great staff.
It just needs a little updating and there was no hot water but the shower had hot water. The bathroom looked newly fitted and modern.
Helpful staff
Coffee machine in bedroom didn’t work.
Breakfast was a joke, inedible.
Great serve your own breakfast
No hot water in the bathroom sink
Not what was expected continental
Expected english no evening food
Food
The staff were fantastic, very welcoming and friendly, and because of them I would stay again.
The room was lovely and clean and comfortable.
There was no hot water for the bath or sink, it was stone cold, and the shower only got tepid fluctuating between cold and tepid so I wasn't able to have a shower or a bath to freshen up ready for the day.......which wasn't good as I'd been out dancing the night I stayed.
There is no email on the website so I couldn't let them know.
It was a convenient location for where we needed to go and the pub was very nice. There was a Tassimo in the room for coffee and hot chocolate and quality biscuits. The self-service breakfast had a reasonable choice - crumpets, yoghurts, fruit, lots of preserves.
The radiators weren't on and our room and the breakfast room were both cold; not suitable for relaxing in!
It was cheap - but I see why
No food - no evening meal option with 5 miles, let alone at the pub. “Continental breakfast” means help yourself to cereal and toast.
No staff - when the pub shut the place was locked up, leaving me alone in the building overnight. . No staff at breakfast whatsoever.
No information - never got a WiFi code or any info about where to eat or how to work the “Fire TV”
We paid £90 for the BB and stayed for a friends party in the pub
No heating in the pub and so so cold
Shower running hot and cold and almost scaled the wife
Could not sleep during the night as so cold and thin bed cover
Not shown the breakfast room and went looking in the morning in a conservatory
No one around to see if we was OK in the morning
It was very cold and no heating in the breakfast room
Out of date bread and poor slection to choice from
Tried to make contact to complain and no one would return our calls
Very very dissapointed with our stay

The party in the pub
The location was great for visiting BAE
Lack of heating in the room. No hot running water for a wash in the morning. I didn't realise that there were no evening meal options available. I wasn't able to get the light on in the morning in the conservatory (also cold) for the cereal and toast breakfast.
This cost more than a good hotel in Manchester costs me.
Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. Wardrobe and drawer space good
No hot water in bathroom sink or bath
No hot water from electric shower as pull cord didn't work
Annoyingly bright green glow from emergency lighting in bedroom
No heating from radiator in morning
Definition of continental breakfast differs from my understanding!
Staff on arrival not very informative
Cables supplying electricity to do it yourself kitchen area a hazard
Bedside table only on one side of the bed even though there was room
Power supply only on one side of bed
Have to go outside (in the rain) to let ourselves in to the do it yourselk breakfast room
Excessive music and noise from pub into the early hours
The breakfast was OK. There weren't enough teabags, and not enough water in the machine.
We had to go outdoors to get to the breakfast room.
The bar is not a very warm or comfortable place in which to sit.
The room and bathroom had been recently refurbished to a high standard. It was clean and well presented.
Great room, staff friendly
No WiFi in the room I had
Location and friendly staff.
Arrived to find bed without any covers etc, no toiletries due to miscommunication amongst staff. Cleaner had left the windows open for the past day so it was freezing. No hot water, no heating. Went to bed shivering and woke up achey and ready to leave asap. More pro-active solutions needed than the offer of ‘drink on the house’.
Breakfast is only cereal from the pantry, which we didn’t realise. Disappointing overall.
The location was great, close to Blackburn but nice and quitet and easy to get to. The welcome was fantastic even though we arrived very late at night. The staff were super helpful and friendly.
The bed was quite small for two, I am a >6 foot big guy though. It was very comfortable though. The room was a little on the chilly side, I didn't mind too much, but my other half is a hot house flower. We did only get 1 bath towel though, but probably just an oversite.
Super friendly staff clean and a great location for the scare Kingdom which was the reason for the stay.
Nothing I didn't like
