Categories

Cleanliness
8.7
Multiple reviews highlight rooms as very clean and well maintained; minor issues noted with slipper material and occasional tobacco smell in corridors but overall cleanliness rated highly.
Service
7.6
Mixed feedback: some staff described as friendly, but several guests reported unresponsiveness to requests (e.g., hairdryer), impersonal or hard-to-use unmanned electronic check-in, and issues with tax/check-in procedures for some guests.
Location
9
Consistently praised for being very close to the station, convenient for sightseeing (e.g., Nijo Castle) and near shops/restaurants — one of the strongest positives.
Room Quality
8.6
Rooms frequently described as spacious, quiet and comfortable with large fridge and microwave; one guest noted limited daylight/open feel in some rooms.
Amenities
7.8
In-room amenities such as fridge, microwave and coffee maker were appreciated; however guests requested additional small items (cotton swabs, cotton), better slippers, and had an unmet hairdryer request.
Value for Money
8.8
Many guests commented the hotel was inexpensive and offered good cost performance — strong positive on value.
Food and Beverage
8
Limited mentions: in-room coffee maker noted positively, while at least one guest missed having breakfast included — overall slightly below target but not a major theme.
Overall Experience
8.7
Generally positive overall: guests felt safe, quiet and satisfied with their stays and many would return, tempered by specific negatives (smoke smell on certain floors, check-in/service friction).

Pros:

Cons:

Pros:

Pros:

Cons:

Pros:

Cons:
