Nice small hotel in walking distance to Asakusa Station.
Pros:

Excellent little hotel in the middle of Asakusa with friendly staff. Small rooms with nicely smelling tatami mats and a comfortable bed. The river view on the 9th floor in the common room or from the roof is nice.

If you travel with a big suitcase you have a bit of a problem. Two people and 2 big suitcases in a single room and you will suffer. For a single person like myself with a carry-on and a backpack it was perfectly fine.

If you get a room facing the road you might need earplugs. I got one facing a backyard and i was fine.

Cons:

Not much to complain about considering the size, class and price range of the hotel. I can't understand the critical reviews. I think they are mostly based on wrong expectations. Like expecting a big European or US sized hotel room with all its amenities.

My only minor critique point is maybe the breakfast. It's basically toast, marmalade and butter and coffee or tea. You have to decide if the price difference is worth it. In the middle of Asakusa you can find nice cafes, bakeries and combinis that offer a bigger choice, so maybe book without breakfast and pickup something on the way.

Okay for a short stay
Pros:

Pros:

Standard small room as is for the price in Japan. Clean and quiet. Convenient location for train access, nice river walk behind. Basic bread breakfast, can be brought up to common room with a view. Friendly staff.
