MGM Hôtels & Résidences – Hôtel Les Suites d’Alexane

This was our second time visiting as we had found it a good all rounder 2 months earlier. We booked a deluxe double again which had a small living area as per the hotels.com photo. This time we were put in a much smaller room with no living area however our friends, whose room I had booked at the same time (a deluxe double) were given an upgrade of a family suite! They had been given, at no extra cost, 2 bedrooms, living room, dining room and a kitchen with a super large balcony whilst we were in a very small albeit cosy ‘deluxe’ double. We had a totally different experience which I found extremely unfair considering I had made the booking, had visited before and had paid exactly the same room rate. The hotel itself is lovely, the staff are friendly, it never seems busy other than the pool area on a sunny day so would I recommend it, yes, but I did find it extremely unfair that we had a much smaller, very dark room this time. I did visit reception who said they were fully booked and there was nothing they could do, they did eventually accept that as I was staying for 4 nights, if I wanted to I could hand my keys back at 10am the next day and come back at 4pm to be moved to the deluxe room with the living area (as per the photo) but we just wanted to unpack & relax after a 2 day journey from the UK.

La struttura è molto bella, personale reception molto cordiale, camere e locali puliti, relativamente alla struttura nulla da dire. Per quanto riguarda i servizi abbiamo usufruito dell'area relax ma la presenza di minori senza controllo genitoriale, fa si che diventi un area giochi, l'idromassaggio era praticamente la vasca tuffi e giochi con fontanelle dei bambini. Quindi niente relax. Inoltre abbiamo usufruito solo un giorno della colazione che propone l'hotel presso il ristorante FABIO a 20€ a persona, cibo scarso e scadente e soprattutto cappuccino che sapeva di acqua sporca imbevibile .. abbiamo dovuto optare per la colazione presso la pasticceria Tiffany che con ottimo cappuccino e brioches favolose ..ci è costata € 4,60 a persona....direi che dovrebbero essere rivisti un pò i prezzi e soprattutto ciò che viene offerto.
Diciamo che i servizi quest' anno sono stati un po' deludenti .. ci sarebbe qualcosa da rivedere.

Fijn hotel, lekker zwembad en spa.
Jammer toen het zo warm was, er geen airco op de kamer is.
Jammer dat de bar s’avonds niet open is in het Hotel.
We konden wel in de lobby zitten, was jammer dat daar geen hoge tafel staat maar alleen lage zitjes, en dat in de lobby de muziek steeds weg viel.
Verder prima hotel, super schone kamer!

Excellent hotel. Great facilities, great location and in a beautiful village with easy access to the Gondola.

Fab stay with fab facilities. Our only complaint was that there was no Netflix or similar on the TV for the teens to watch.

Fantastic

Fantastic hotel, would highly recommend. Can’t fault the amenities (beautiful spa, well planned ski locker room, lots of lounge/sofa space in the reception area, big room sizes with comfortable beds and lots of storage space). We didn’t have a chance to use the games room or the cinema room but hopefully we will next time! The hotel is conveniently located just a few mins walk from the village square therefore many restaurants are nearby. There is a shuttle stop across the road, scheduled every 15 mins, that will take you to the Grand Massif gondola within mins. The hotel also operates its own shuttle free of charge Sunday- Fridays at peak times. If you do happen to miss the shuttle service, the gondola is only a 10 mins walk. The hotel is clean and the staff are friendly and happy to help with any qs - they were also happy to accommodate our early check in and late check out requests. The only fault we had during our stay was that the reception is unmanned at night and the doors are locked. We had an early flight and so were unable to check out and return our key at 4am - the number for the night manager went unanswered too. We had friends checking out later than us so we were able to leave our key with them, but unsure what we would have done otherwise (and also unsure how we would have settled our breakfast charge and city tax). The self service buffet breakfast is also a little steep at €21pp for the options (mostly continental) menu. €15 would be a more suitable price.

Excellent property with beautiful rooms and spa facilities. Loved that you could order fresh bread from the local bakery for breakfast to collect at reception. Staff also very friendly and helpful.

Beautiful property with a warm and welcoming staff. Pool and fitness facilities are amazing.

The property, staff and location were all fantastic. The property is by far in a way the best in the area. The lobby, spa and dining options in the property were all 10/10. I stayed in the apartments - I had a two bed and it was super spacious, modern, clean and had everything you could need! Super impressed and will definitely be back!

Absolutely stunning hotel, with exceptional service from start to finish. The attention to detail was spot on, and they even realised it was my birthday during the stay and left a birthday message and small selection of local produce in the room which was a lovely touch and surprise. Thank you so much for a brilliant few nights.

Alt ved dette hotel er smukt og specielt suiterne. Vi var der i 4 dage og var meget tilfredse. Morgenmaden kunne godt være bedre. God beliggenhed og ikke langt fra by centrum og skilift.

Just loved this hotel. The interior styling and decor was stunning. Everything was such high quality but at a fair price. The staff were incredibly helpful and supportive. We are getting married in Samoens next year and have recommended Hotel Alexane as a place to stay for our family and guests.
