Good value Marriott walk to the national mall.
Pros:

Large room, very clean. Very comfortable bed. Full kitchen, though we only used the fridge and microwave. Great location - $10-20 Uber to everywhere. Or walk around (walk to the mall is downhill) and then Uber back! Good breakfast, including scrambled egg and bacon or sausage, pastries a little boring. Good happy hour 4-6pm. Many restaurants all levels close by

Cons:

Be aware that many room face the inner courtyard, and the surrounding buildings (incl the Marriott across the street) are pretty tall. So don't expect a view in most cases (but it doesn't matter....).
It's not cheap to stay here, but nowhere in the city center is. This place is great value given its central location and easy access everywhere.
24 hour Fitness center is on the 13th floor, users dropping weights at all hours, VERY audible late at night below on 12th floor - avoid this floor (we moved)! Other floors fine

Que no nos hicieron la habitación la única noche que pasamos y tuvimos que decirle que la hicieran a las 4 de la tarde cuando volvimos; menos mal que no llegamos a las 9 porque sino….personal del desayuno muy maleducado

Kurz gesagt: Ich empfehle das Hotel für alle, die Komfort suchen – den Valet-Parkservice sollte man jedoch lieber nicht
Pros:

Das Hotel liegt nur etwa 7 Minuten von einer Hop-on-Hop-off-Bushaltestelle entfernt, was die Lage zusätzlich sehr praktisch macht.
Der Zustand und die Ausstattung des Hotels entsprechen eher einem 4+ Sterne Niveau. Es ist sehr sauber und bietet alles, was man für einen komfortablen Aufenthalt braucht, einschließlich einer gut ausgestatteten Küche. Die Zimmer sind sehr groß, es gibt eine hervorragende Bar, und man kann dort auch gut essen.
Das Frühstück ist abwechslungsreicher als in vielen anderen Hotels in den USA. Die Lage ist ebenfalls sehr bequem, und alle Anliegen werden schnell gelöst – der Service ist insgesamt auf höchstem Niveau.

Cons:

Enttäuschend war jedoch das Verhalten des zum Hotel gehörenden Valet-Services. Auf die Frage nach den allgemeinen Parkkosten in der Stadt wurde unhöflich und kurz angebunden geantwortet, weitere Fragen wurden arrogant ignoriert. Als wir darum baten, unser Auto zu parken, das direkt vor ihnen stand (nur etwa 5 Meter entfernt), wurden wir aufgefordert, erst eine Runde um den Block zu fahren – man weigerte sich demonstrativ, das Fahrzeug anzunehmen.
Am Ende stellte sich heraus, dass es nur etwa 100 Meter vom Hotel entfernt eine ausgezeichnete, bewachte Parkmöglichkeit gibt, die ganze drei Mal günstiger ist (ca. 40 $ pro Tag). Ich empfehle daher ausdrücklich, nicht den teuren und unfreundlichen Valet-Service des Hotels zu nutzen, sondern stattdessen in der Nähe zu parken – das ist deutlich günstiger und unkomplizierter.

It was a nice moment, but
Pros:

Level of the location good, as we are more cycling, there were places near the hotel making travel easier, even the metro tickets are close by.
Room has plenty of space and comfortable bed

Cons:

The arrival at the room, there was a very bad smell, the extractor hood does not work! And the smell from the room next door passes to ours.

We had to do the cleaning ourselves.

Breakfast was expected to be good, but it was a disappointment, little variety, breakfast equal lunches, waffles with no flavor... the dumplings are even good, but the rest left much to be desired.

The couch had strange stains... so much so that we didn’t even use the couch because of it.

Excellent Birthday Getaway in Washington DC
Pros:

My stay at Residence Inn by Marriott Washington DC Downtown/Convention Center was a very pleasant, relaxing, and well accommodated experience. The hotel is well maintained, has an upscale appeal, and managed by a very attentive and welcoming staff. I have no real complaints. The only thing I would bring the hotels attention to is the functionality of the wifi, as it was hit and miss at times. Otherwise, the stay was an excellent one and I would definitely stay at this exact location again. The location is well situated and a short distance from all the downtown tourist sites and downtown nightlife. The location was safe and secure in a neighborhood I did not mind walking around in. I highly recommend this hotel and location for anyone visiting Washington DC.

Pros:

Location and overall layout of the hotel.

Cons:

Price for parking. The set up for breakfast was actual awful. Needs to be re-done to accommodate the large amt of hotel guest- chaos. Need to configure layout to allow better movement and more distant serving stations. Just to get coffee took forever.
