No natural light in the room,and couldn't understand why the small window there was covered up and not allowing any natural light into the room.

The location was close to everything, walking.
It's a motel, not really a hotel. The rooms seem designed for short stays rather than for spending several days there. They only provided one bottle of body soap for two days, and the tub/jacuzzi was full of mold.
