Pros:

Stunning views from the room and very friendly staff. Parking easy (and free) in perfect spot for hiking in the area.
Nice little village for a couple of nights stay with a couple of good places to eat.

Pros:

Beautiful, old stone building. View from the front terrace and dining room is looking right at the Cirque de Gavarnie. Great access to hiking trails around this Cirque and also access to hikes into adjacent Cirques. The room was basic and dated, but clean and comfortable, nonetheless. A few oddities like no place to hang a towel, or the hall light didn't turn on when leaving the room (motion sensor was at the elevator end of the hall). Lydia was extremely warm and welcoming and fun to talk with. She even pulled out a topo map to help me plan several hiking routes.

Su magia,la recepcionista "Daniele",el personal,los franceses,el lugar,todo pura magia.
El pueblo de Gavarnie no lo olvidare jamas.
Cuando iva llegando al sitio,lloraba de emocion de tanta belleza,tanta simbiosis entre las personas, la naturaleza y los animales,
no puedo explicarlo con palabras,mi corazon exploto de emocion,no creo ni que los franceses se den cuenta de lo especiales que son,es un lugar absolutamente "ZEN".
Zen en el sentido literal del termino.
No creo que mis ojos vean y mi corazon sienta algo asi nunca mas,a cada lugar su sentimiento.
