A very comfortable stay with excellent food options, and professional and friendly staff.
Pros:

Very well appointed. The public spaces were stylish and very comfortable. The room we had was spacious and the bed extremely comfortable. The shower was excellent. We had dinner in the hotel. I highly recommend it. The food was delicious and service excellent. Similarly we enjoyed the breakfast which offered a good range of options.

Comfortable hotel in a prime location
Pros:

Warm, clean comfortable hotel in a prime location. A very grand, unusual building. Polite, helpful staff.

Cons:

Lack of on-site parking. Pay for council car park 400 yards distance although there is a drop off facility at the hotel.

Very enjoyable, good service and communication. Room well looked after.
Pros:

All very good, no issues. Room a bit remote and a lot of stiff doors to get through - but accept as part of the nature of the building. Breakfast excellent

Convenient, clean with very helpful staff. Pleasant well equipped rooms
Pros:

Staff very helpful and attentive. Hotel well decorated and interesting place to stay. Room and hotel in general was very clean and a good supply of tea, coffee and hot chocolate plus water and milk in fridge. Great towels and soaps.Room (Dark Sky) was spacious with chairs and desk. Evening meal in bar was fine.

Cons:

I prefer a softish bed. Shower leaks badly onto bathroom floor. Heating controls appeared complex but maybe I was tired! Breakfast from 7:30 am on a Tuesday is too late and I left without.

Most fabulous hotel
Pros:

The breakfasts were wonderful - lovely ingredients cooked beautifully. Coffee fab too! Staff lovely - rooms gorgeous - we loved it.

Cons:

I thought there was a smell of cooking the first day and then realised the smell was sage room diffusers - reminded me of roast dinner so not a bad thing 🤣

Cons:

Lots of stairs - and for an overpacker it was hard to get the cases up and down the stairs.

Perfect getaway
Pros:

The lady that served breakfast each morning was as lovely and helpful as the Yorkshire countryside :)

Cons:

It is a shame it doesn't have a car park, but we get it, it's an old building and we got parked nearby for very reasonable rates.
