2nd visit, we like to stay at Shoulder as a stopover between Hampshire and Northumberland. Rooms are clean and comfortable, staff are friendly the dinners are delicious. Can't say much regarding the surroundings as it's always a brief stay

This is a super over night stay hotel, dog friendly, amazing food, couldn’t have asked for more.
Floor in room was a bit uneven but it wouldn’t stop me staying again.

No Breakfast available, narrow stairs to rooms for the elderly who had travel cases to carry
The bathroom had a very bad smell coming from the shower waste tube, to the point it woke us up.

Lovely wee pub. Entertainment a bonus! The singer was very good. Food good. Just rooms need a refresh on a few things. Decor and furniture mostly. Overall value was fair for what we got.

Bedroom was small for what was a "superior" room and not well furnished. New white linen needed. No one on premises in the morning to help with departure.
