Lovely looking building right in the middle of nowhere
Narrow stair to the room
It was clean and the pub its self was nice and food was ok. Staff were very pleasant. (No breakfast option available.)
'Deluxe' Family room is not quite how I would describe the room I stayed in, mind the step when you enter, if you like the 70's you'll be in heaven, sorry but nothing in the room matched and for me it hurt my eyes to be in the room everything clashed. The room has a dip in the floor so need to be careful especially if you need to use the facilities at night, where the toilet is separate from the rest of the bathroom which I will admit for a family room is good but only if you can actually get in to the tiny room to sit down and close the door after you. If you want a coffee or tea the supplies are there, just where its situated there is no where to plug in the kettle so you will need to move it to the other side of the room on the floor. The WiFi wasn't great, trying to connect to do some work you will have dropping signal issues and the phone reception isn't great so hot spot off your phone won't really work either. If you are looking for a lie in, the sound from the hot water boiler (I assume) will give you a wake up call when other guests use it, (no problem for me as I need to get up early might be for others). Bed was ok not the most uncomfortable I've experienced but not the best either. The stairs up to the rooms are nearly horizontal and not very wide, be careful on the way down as you can't put a full foot on the stair tread.
The location is great for where we needed to be, the pub is very nice and has a nice atmosphere
We have stayed here before and whilst it’s good value for money the bed / pillows aren’t the most comfortable if you are staying for more than one night. Would also be a good idea to let people staying that no staff live on site overnight in case the fire alarm goes off…

Fine for a one night stopover. Very clean and good freshly cooked food in the evening.
Room on the small side and unlined thin curtains let in light. Just attach blackout linings!
Loved the room it was bright spacious and comfortable .
Bed was very comfy too . Bathroom was small but adequate for our needs very clean indeed.
Sunday roast was excellent .

Excellent country pub in Derbyshire in a great location. The staff were fantastic throughout our 3 night stay, and the food was really good.
3 of us stayed in the family suite which is perfect for a long weekend.
The staff were friendly. There was plenty of coffee and milk etc and plenty of towels.
I couldn't find a hairdryer anywhere
Da tempo sognavo di passare una notte in un pub! Camera da 3, carina e spaziosa. Anche il bagno grande e pulito. Il personale del locale assolutamente TOP, gentile e premuroso!
Non andava la luce di fianco al letto, ma stando una sola notte, non abbiamo detto nulla e non ha influito sul giudizio generale.

TV did not work, shower had no pressure
Great food , great location and great staff
Unfortunately we didn’t have long enough there we arrived late and left early due to prior commitments. Really lovely place to stay would highly recommend.
