Lovely clean warm room to stay overnight in. The pub was very homely inside with a roaring real log fire. The bar /lounge areas were clean, very nice and it was dog friendly. Lovely staff and the owner was fantastic. I stayed overnight with my 2 dogs who were made a fuss of.
Food in the restaurant was very good, and the staff were very friendly.
The rooms did not Mach the descriptions, and were very cold. We had to swap rooms as the combo boiler located in our bathroom was leaking.
Plenty of free parking, beautiful location, good looking pub/ b&b.
Good friendly staff, easy access to accommodation, good sleep, quiet and comfortable.
Shower was weak. Little pressure, and either cold or very hot. Couldn't find a happy medium.
Not the best. The manager gave no eye contact,no smile, warm welcome etc. When taking our order. Given the pub only had a few customers you would hope he would want to make you feel wanted so you returned.
Menu items not available unless pre ordered, not stated on their website. No steaks.

Stayed overnight after visiting the pub. Room was very basic and cold when we first entered. Basic tea and coffee facilities bed and storage. Bathroom ok with electric shower. On retuning to the room later it was quite warm, however once in bed a double we found the mattress to be very hard and not comfortable. We didn’t get a good nights sleep as a result . Think all rooms are up stairs which are very steep and once the pub closes you have to use the back door only. To check out you just leave the key in a box at the side of the exit door. No breakfast facilities at all and we didn’t find any where local to go either which was disappointing.
Why did the staff take pictures of function without informing anyone it made me feel very uncomfortable the soft drinks were flat as served from 2litre fizzy drink bottles drinks lack choice and expensive
Clean , comfortable , warm room too, the radiators were hot . We all slept very well. Very good value for money. All the staff were pleasant. Very close in distance to our aunt and uncle whom we were visiting.
No breakfast facilities, but all the positive points far outweigh this inconvenience.
