Nice room, good location, excellent bar and food, only issue was the pillows

Well worth a visit
Pros:

Called for lunch, sat in the sun beautiful day. Ordered pie of the day which was steak & ale. Got to be the best pub food I have had. I am quite particular on eating pie, this was beautiful served with fresh vegetables. Plate was hot the meal was hot. Service was excellent cannot fault the place at all. Will definitely return

Pros:

The friendliness of the staff. I couldn’t check in as I was at a wedding but they made it very easy for me to gain access to my room. It was clean and comfortable. And like a mini apartment. I was very happy with it.

No one was around to check out, and for me to say thank you too

Pros:

Lovely food, my sea bass was excellent. Would recommend. Burger tasty and really good value at £12.95 including a pint on a Tuesday.
James gave us a warm welcome.

Very clean and tidy, good atmosphere and lovely staff and food.
Pros:

Adeen and Isaac were very friendly and professional. Limited menu due to day we went for a meal regarding deliveries however food was lovely. Thank you Chef.
Issac friendly and working very hard in the hot temperatures on the grounds around the pub, restaurant and accommodation. Will visit again Thank you

A lovely pub but could do with providing a fan in the hot weather.
Pros:

The pub was really lovely with great staff and a perfect location. We booked dinner and had a truly first class meal with good local produce, the cost, while not cheap, it was excellent value for the quality. If only the pub served breakfast as I'm sure it would have been to the same high standard. The bed was very comfortable

Cons:

Due to the exceptionally hot weather the room was VERY hot at night making sleeping uncomfortable. Not really enough ventilation, only 1 out of 3 windows can open not helped by the room facing south and west getting all afternoon and evening sun.

Pros:

Excellent location for visiting Hardwick Hall. Comfortable bed. Clean.

Cons:

While breakfast was not advertised, there were few places nearby that served breakfast. The dinner was fine, but limited choices. Some of the young staff were unfriendly.
