Please was peaceful, clean, and convenient. The management and staff were super friendly.
Beach front, clean areas and property is close to all kinds of restaurants
Doesn't worth the price. for this quality, better to get a room at a hostel and at least save money and increase slightly and get a better hotel in General Luna main area. location not great, breakfast is a joke, service and kindness are inexistant., and room was smelly (humidity and sometimes sewer if rains heavily) and no internet from your room, you need to get it from the lobby. the best thing was the sea view (if you get a room for)
The property was destroyed in a typhoon a couple of years ago, and they have only restored parts of it and none seems to be working to restore the rest. The room was good, but the sliding doors were corroded shut and difficult to open, similarly the drain plug in the sink was corroded and stuck down. The maintenance staff were excellent and responded to these things within 10 mins. But I shouldn't have had to ask, these things should have been checked and fixed between guests. Lots of the outside needs a coat of paint.
The breakfasts were a joke, no bread one day and I believe no meat another. The morning juice was weak and thin and came out of a packet. Eventually I bought my own coffee and asked for hot water. Other guests were bringing in their own fruit.
Although it's on the beach there was no swimming as the beach was rocky. The pool was good for swimming and was 6ft deep.
It was easy to get into General Luna 60 peso in a TukTuk or trycicyle and all the drivers knew where it was.
Excellent place wow wow the room was amazing. It was really great with amazing kitchen big refrigerator. The bed was a king size deluxe. Everything was just spot on. Excellent.
The property is really beautiful, but there was no hot water. This is ridiculous. I paid so much for this place. Two small lousy beds instead of one nice clean or king bed .It was so beautiful and the swimming pool is amazing. But it’s old and dated. I had two different rooms one with the deluxe Oceanview and the other, just the garden view, both did not have hot water and all of the rooms have two lousy small bed so if you’re with your lady, you have to put the two beds together and you can’t really snuggle together. The breakfast was decent at least
The property is not in the centre but easily accessible by tricycles.
Comfortable hotel, great location. Terrible wifi and only available in the restaurant area. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Rooms could use a bit of maintenance but nothing major. Would stay there again for sure.
If you like an ocean view resort, this is not your place. The oceanfront is rocky but pleasant to watch when high and low tides occur. This maybe a “3-star hotel” but the cleanliness and friendliness of the staff has exceeded my expectation, 5 star quality. The staff go way above and beyond to ensure all the qualities of a vacation is present and realized.
Breakfast is not as good as other hotels ive tried with that kind of rate
Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Beds were great, plenty of room.
Pool was fun and maintained well.
Bathroom flooded a little when showered.
Lovely linen & towels.
The staff here is so lovely. The hotel has two great pools and is right on the ocean with a breath-taking view. My room was great and nicely appointed and clean. The hotel is a quick tricycle from town or they have bicycles you can borrow. I got food poisoning while there and they had a nurse on staff who brought me medicine.
The one thing that bothered me was the non-stop Christmas music. It was the same few songs on repeat played loudly at the restaurant and reception, also the only place with WiFi. Not sure if this bothered anyone else but I found it very annoying. Not sure if I can ever listen to feliz navidad again.
That said, outside Christmas this place is a dream!
The place was beautiful and clean! The amenities were great! They have bikes than you can rent for free! They also provide insulated tumblers to keep us hydrated while going around the island! Service was excellent, too! We had a pleasant stay!
Very clean, well maintained, pretty cool pool around the whole resort. Very friendly staff, free breakfast and free pushbike hire👍
Even when I changed hotel I still came back to rent bikes from them. The bar and rooftop deck was great too. When the island lost power for 20 hours they only had to turn their generator off for 2 hours. Only issue is it was 2 twin beds, no option for queen, doubles yet and the room was a little small. The area itself was pretty quiet too, not much going on but very short ride to local waves
Everything was great, but the bathroom smelled like mold.
My friends invited my family and i to join them to a trip to Siargao. Without having to do any search, i simply booked ourselves in Apsaras where they planned to be.
Upon our arrival, i immediately noticed how the rooms were built above ground with metal supports underneath. It reminded me of life guard stations on the beach. And they were all in a beautiful hue of blue.
I love the layout. The reception was right there as soon as you as one arrives. It was not in a room or in a hall. It was more like in a patio; open, bright and airy. Check-in was a breeze and a welcome drink was served by courteous staff. Standing there, one could see the entire complex with the rooms to the left and right and the pool in the center. The unobstructed view was all the way to the beach and sea.
Unlike the usual dining areas next to the beach, Apsaras’ meals were served above the reception & lobby area. Still true to the “life guard station” design, it afforded a higher view to the waters on one side and the street below on the other. I found it unique & interesting. One can relax comfortably & strategically see the arrival of friends & vans. It is aptly called the Light House.
The rooms were very clean & tastefully designed. It had all the amenities for a comfortable stay. The bathroom is beautiful & spacious; something i particularly look out for. With Ocean view rooms, we spent much time in the hammocks enjoying the sun and gentle breeze. I loved the nightly movies on the beach
The view of the ocean. Beach was rocky. Pool was amazing but a little dirty. Excelent location near cloud 9. Room is clean and has tv. Best hotel there
Very nice stay here for 6 nights. Very clean rooms. Comfortable beds and big soft new towels. Good TV and air conditioning. Pool was nice. No wifi in the rooms, only in the lobby and restaurant but the WiFi is still very bad but that’s just the Philippines. Good quiet location in between Gen Luna and Cloud 9. 15 min walk to cloud 9. Good breakfast but the rest of the dinner menu i did not enjoy. Very nice and attentive staff. I wish they would pick up the cigarette butts by the waterfront lounge area or not allow smoking. A lot of cigarettes on the ground
The room was very nice for the price we paid. Service was great.
I chose this resort because it was new, and the room came with breakfast buffet or two. Location is great (halfway between General Luna town and Cloud 9) as you can walk or take a tricycle anywhere. Here are the pros and cons of my four-night stay:
PROS: Breakfast buffet was good. They even had a chef making eggs and pancakes on order. Complete amenities provided in the bathroom (shampoo, soap, toothbrush, etc.) which had a rain shower. They just need to increase the water pressure and add rods/hooks for hanging towels and wet clothes. Two swimming pools were awesome, with the mini lazy river a unique feature I haven't seen anywhere else. Day beds and hammocks were a nice touch. Roof decks and room balconies were pretty cool as well. They show movies outdoors on a big screen at night and have an acoustic performer on weekends. To help save the environment, they give metal water bottles which you can refill with filtered water in the restaurant. Staff is friendly and helpful. They accept credit cards.
CONS: No wifi in the rooms. Resort advertised wifi in the lobby, but it wasn't working during our whole stay. Cignal satellite tv service was unreliable, making watching tv an irritating experience. Also, resort is on the water, but the beach is rocky and not for swimming. I think they only have one room with a double bed, and this is reserved for senior citizens or PWDs. My husband and I put our single beds together.
