Dolarog Beach Resort

The view is breathtaking! But now that I am home, I have insect bites to deal with. Really bad. I don’t know if it’s from the bed, the sand or the dining room.

The room- it’s from the 90s. The door and windows have gaps so insects could have come From there or from the ceiling (anahaw leaves). The mattress is a two-inch foam. The shower has no hot water.

True, the pool had a slimy bottom. One can walk to vanilla beach for 20-30mins each way if the golf cart road is too scary for you. This is the reason why nobody would pick you up from the hotel directly.

Food choices were limited. Not everything was on the menu. The graciousness of the staff though was top-rated. Can’t fault them.

The coconuts could fall on your head at any moment. It was not regularly tended. Hazardous!

TThe hotel is decent. We did not anticipate it being so distant from the city center. However, overall it was merely satisfactory.

Amazing location with bungholes on the beach. Peaceful, serine and a 20 minute walk on the beach to Vanilla Beach if you need more excitement. Sunsets were fantastic. Would go back in the future.

My husband was severely injured on the way here due to a sailboat incident in boracay and we were unable to make this trip and they refused to give any kind of credit or refund 4 nights at 891$ i hope the owner knows gods watching and karma works in lovely ways, wishing the best of luck to anyone who decides to go here, id continue reading the negative reviews before booking ☺️

This place is beautiful. The staff was amazing, very kind and friendly. They do everything they can to help you however they can. Our hut or housing was very nice and on the porch was 2 comfortable chairs and a hammock which was a very nice touch. Some people were saying that the water for showers were cold and my girl did too, but i just left it running for a couple minutes and it heated right up and stayed that way. They do have scooter rentals and free rides into town but to get to the resort is pretty wild. Overall 10/10 experience.

Location and beach are great

The resort was about 10 minutes away from the main part of el nido. We loved that it was quiet. The beach and views were beautiful. Staff was very friendly and accommodating and could be reached in a timely matter. We were only able to stay one night, but we wished we could stay longer!

Dolarog Beach Resort is off the beaten path. The location is private, serene, and the most beautiful place I've ever visited. Our cabin/bungalow was literally 35 steps from the water and 35 steps away from the sea water pool. The views from this resort are beautiful. No matter where you are on the resort, you have a perfect view of the water and other islands. As the sun set in the evenings, the views kept improving every few minutes. I can't describe how beautiful the changes in light and color were. I would think that I had the perfect picture, then the light would change slightly or the sky would turn the a different shade of orange - making another perfect photo-op. The restaurant on site had a terrific menu and we enjoyed every drink, meal, and dessert during our stay. The resort staff was top notch and took care of every detail to ensure the perfect stay. I suggest taking a private tour of the other islands using the resort's speed boat. What an experience! I will definitely return.

Ett väldigt fint boende precis vid vattnet och lite avsides från El Nido. Ni som vill ha lugn och ro kommer trivas utmärkt här! Vackert och välordnat med bra städning. Vänlig personal har de med.

Enda minuset för oss var den långsamma servicen vid lunch och middag. Vi fick vänta länge på mat och dryck vid en del tillfällen.

Avståndet till El Nido är inga hinder för att ta sig dit. Boendet har en golfbil som skjutsar en till närliggande Vanilla Beach. Eller så går man dit längs stranden! Därifrån tar man bara taxi och är framme på cirka 10 min.

Vattnet utanför väldigt fint och badmöjligheter är goda. Det är inte speciellt djupt dock.

Allt som allt är Dolarog en härlig plats och jag kan rekommendera det för alla som vill slappna av och njuta!

The location is ok!

The room looks so dared, the AC was extremely loud, barely any water pressure, the food was pretty horrible for the price and the speedboar yours are a major scam

A perfect place full of imperfections. This place needs a major renovation! Isolated which is perfect if you want to get away .. but limited options available there.. ! I love the people and staff .. but would I stay there again? Not likely!

A little off the beaten track, well actually a long way off the beaten track but an amazing location.
The hotel does advise access to the location is via a steep road and local taxis, trikes, etc will not go there. However the hotel does provide a free shuttle using golf carts.
We had one of the beach front bungalows which was literally 10 steps from the water. Good size room with a full size tub and separate shower with rainfall shower. Large comfortable bed and good a/c. Large flat screen TV with satellite channels.
Breakfast available daily with a choice of international or Filipino food. Good coffee.
In the evening the restaurant served a variety of international dishes but they do prefer you to order in advance.
A reasonable selection of beer , wine and spirits are available. The staff are very helpful and friendly and happy to accommodate any special requests.
The hotel can arrange tours and scuba diving trips. It also has it's own power boat which can be rented , complete with driver.

I give this resort an overall rating of excellent because the staff and the views compensated for the negatives of which there were a few. Bottom line is it’s no 5 star, probably more like a 3 but the views were stunning and well worth it.

Overall, a pretty sweet location, beautiful salt-water pool infinity pool, absolutely loved that it was filled with sea-water and also resort had beautiful beach access.

The only advantage this place has is location. I say this because there is a beautiful view and beach water front. The cabanas are old and need refurbishing. The bathroom tiles are broken and the water pressure is poor. They are dark, dirty, and uninviting. The pool area is almost unusable. The furniture has no cushions and looks old and weather beaten. The pool water is straight out of the sea and is so cloudy I question the bacterial health of the water. Although the staff is friendly we never really knew who to ask for what. Always trying to find someone to answer our questions. Food service is disorganized. Simple thing like water, salt/pepper, hot water, napkins have to be sought after. The only way to get off property is a rocky road by golf cart (10 min) or 20 minute walk down the beach to the vanilla beach area. Neither of these are a good idea after dark, so you are pretty much stuck here for dinners. For the price I think there is better value elsewhere.

Love love love this resort! The stay and hospitality was more personalized! The staff were all accommodating and friendly and easy to deal with! We had the romantic dinner at the dock with a beautiful setup. This place is very underrated out of all the resorts in El Nido seems like. Nothing can beat the calmness and relaxing environment after going around town. Our vacation felt really slow and breathable in this place which was all we could ever ask for. Thank you Dolarog! We are definitely coming back!

Poor management of staff and facilities is why I rated the resort a fail. Shabby, dirty, worn out furniture, non functioning rusty game room for example.

We stayed 10 nights with the swimming pool only usable for two of those days. The sea water flushing pump is totally inadequate. It takes two days to drain and another four days to refill with cloudy sea water and the cycle is repeated.

Also there is real danger of falling coconuts with or without wind.
