Hotel Veliche

Budget hotel along very busy street with loud noise most of the day and night. There is no air-conditioning so the window had to be propped wide open compounding the noise issue. The room only cooled diwn well after midnight. They had trouble with our reservation so check-in took quite a while. Free breakfast was ok but a bit sparse.

This place was great! Nicely located in Castro - not in the city center but just outside with a beautiful view. Breakfast was great & the staff was all very nice!

Hotel & Cafe Veliche was wonderful. Overlooking the bay just a few minutes walk from the palafitos. Easy parking and the checkin was easy. Everyone on the staff was pleasant and helpful. We were there for three nights and enjoyed every minute. English speaking staff always available. Food was consistently excellent. Guests and locals kept the cafe busy. Outdoor patio overlooking the bay; especially nice at high tide on a warm day. The hotel looks new and the room was spacious with sloped ceilings and large windows. The bathroom was small, but clean and functional. Good water pressure and plenty of hot water. Close to busy road, but no problems sleeping. Bed was comfortable and we were able to sleep late without any problems. Traffic in Castro is horrible so the restaurant was much appreciated. There are several small cafes nearby in restored palafitos. We were able to fully relax and recharge after 6 weeks in Argentina and Chile. Definitely one of the best stays of our trip.

This is a lovely hotel to stay in, easy to find, with good estuary views, safe parking and with good Wi-fi. The room we were given was tastefully furnished and finished in local native wood.
We enjoyed eating in the restaurant on two evenings. Service however varied from very, very slow, especially for serving drinks on our first night to excellent the second. While at breakfast staff were attentive and the food was good I would suggest tables be cleared more promptly as later arrivals were having difficulty in finding a table with clean cutlery and plates.

Todo bien

Llegamos y tenían otra tarifa, hubo todo un enredo con esto. Luego la pieza estaba con mal olor, a desagüe desde el baño. Desayuno mal organizado, la niña que atendía se le olvidaban las cosas, traía cosas equivocadas, todas las mesas sucias. Luego, hubo viento y lluvia y el viento se filtraba por toda la pieza. La calefacción apagada y la pieza congelada, hubo que bajar a pedir que la encendieran. No volvería.

El hotel muy bonito, todo nuevo y en buen estado.
Hay algunas cosas que mejorar como es que en nuestro dormitorio la ventana no tiene blackout en su totalidad, la parte de arriba del ventanal no tenía cortinas por lo que no pudimos descansar hasta tarde. Secador no había en el dormitorio, había que solicitarlo en recepción. No había teléfono en el dormitorio por lo tanto para comunicarse con recepción había que bajar a la recepción del hotel.
La cama muy cómoda, buenos plumones almohadas y cobertores. Todo nuevo y bonito.
