É um lugar mágico! Fomos muito bem acolhidos neste palácio, digno de um conto de fadas. A Dana que nos preparou um delicioso pequeno-almoço é uma mulher extraordinária.

The best part was Mrs Dana and her husband, lovely staff that receive us and cared about the place. The room was comfortable, relatively quiet (although I am not so sure about noise isolation for the rooms). It is relatively close to Abrantes by car, and there were two fantastic dogs that immediately came to greet us. It was a wonderful experience. The place needs some investing, though; it is a really nice property but in needs of some work.

The hospitality was excellent and we enjoyed it immensely.

Tv and Wi-Fi never worked. Tried to get ahold of management but was unable to. Very disappointed and would not stay here again.

Family run business, very welcoming hosts and attentive service, very clean and spacious room. Quiet surroundings and farm-like settings, beautiful palace building, a few improvements and maintenance on the façade would make it perfect. The farm has a pool which due to the short stay we didn't enjoy, however we can definitely recommend this farm for couples and families for a short break in the countryside.

We stayed 2 nights in the middle of a long trip so we could relax and recharge. The beautiful garden and swimming pool were just what we needed. The owner and staff were so helpful with laundry and arranging dinner for us In Abrantes. Included breakfast was very good as well. The property is old but well maintained.

The owner and the staff are fantastic hosts and make their guests feel special and unique thanks to the impeccable service and attention for details. I will cherish the memory of my staying at Quinta de Coalhos for life!

Fomos recebidos como Lords, por um Lord, Sr. José. Mansão/Quinta encantadora/acolhedora, excelente quarto e café da manhã, decoração e objetos de épocas e maravilhoso café da manhã. O proprietário nos disponibilizou transporte com motorista para jantarmos em um excelente restaurante em Abrantes, o santa Isabel.

This is a beautiful old estate that has been in the owners family for generations. The owner welcomed us and helped us with our dinner reservations. We really felt like part of the family here. Warn and welcoming, charming estate. A unique experience and well worth the price. Dinner was spectacular and a driver took us there and back! No worries about a glass of wine with dinner.

Enjoyed our brief stay here – good stop off on way to Lisbon. Welcoming owner (Jose) met us on arrival. Nice room, cool despite 30 plus temperatures. Lovely garden for sitting out reading, with small swimming pool. Our satnav struggled a bit but easy to find on main road by a junction. Very quiet as very long driveway to an interesting house

A charming owner and very helpful staff at this Quinta just 4 kilometres out of town. The place had a magical feel to it. Far from looking totally pristine but for anyone with a feel for beautiful buildings, scale and uniqueness it was wonderful. No bar but the owner sold us some very good wine at such a low price. He also organised for the restaurant we had booked to send a car to pick us up with no charge (tip obviously). Rooms were homely, clean & with a garden access. You could sense the hundred years of family history.

For the fifth time in the past two years me and my wife spent some lovely days in quinta do coalhos!
The main building where we stayed dates back to back to 1906. It is perfectly preserved. On the first and second floors lives mister josé alberty. He is the perfect host and the soul of quinta de coalhos! Everything you need he is always ready to provide, showing you good places to eat and to visit. He is always concerned with the wellbeing of his guests. In the main building you can sleep in the blue,yellow, or grená room! There is also a suit! They are all beautifully decorated! There is also a little cottage where you can stay with your family. Breakfast is served in a very nice sorrounding, both indoors and outdoors. Dana, is a very nice ukrainian lady, that provides the service along with a smile in the morning. When you arrive at the farm after going out to visit some place or to have a meal, you will be greated
By Armani and Chanel, mister albery's, fox terrier and jack russel.

The pool is the perfect place to meditate by the sound of the cicadas! There, beautiful statues whisper about romantic secrets from another time!

Quinta de coalhos is thus, the perfect place to rest!

In the beautifull landscape of ribatejo,with its olive trees, plains, and sun heat, all framed by the tagus river, I allawys find a peace that no other place can provide! There,time can stop and you can relax from the daily struggles! Don't be surprised to find mister alberty in the pool once in a while!

He works a lot,but he also knows how to enjoy life!

Fairy tale museum Quinta with interesting architecture!
The house is over 100 years old and has been in the owner's family since his grandfather built it. There are a lot of interesting Portuguese antiques inside!
Good breakfast with meat, cheese, freshly squished orange juice etc
The staff (Danna) is very nice and helpful.
The owner is extremely friendly.
Great location to see Tomar Castelo, Batalha and Alcobaca monasteries, Castelo de Almourol.
For dinner - go to Santa Isabel in Abrantes, great restaurant!
