Very friendly staff clean facility

Very clean and quiet. Pool was clean and well maintained. Staff professional and friendly. Central to many restaurants.

Believe it or not, my work accidentally booked my stay at this Hyatt location rather than the Regency location on Main St. Now that I have stayed at both Hyatt locations downtown I have to say that I was much more pleased with this location. For one, it is quietly nestled on a side street away from the noise and hustle and bustle of downtown.

We did have a minor issue with our room but hotel staff took excellent care of use promptly. The first room we stayed in was a bit warm and we were unable to adjust the thermostat as it was "locked". The room we were moved was perfect.

I am one who usually strays away from valet service but I will note that due to surrounding parking limitations I opted to use their valet service. I did feel it was a tad steep @ $25 a day but I really enjoyed the convenience; it was really quite nice. As we would leave the room we would request our vehicle through their website/app and by the time we made it to the front it was waiting for us.

Every expectation we had hoped for during our stay was met and we left highly satisfied.

The customer service desk people were great.The valet attendant needs some training on what his duty might be.When we pulled up an had to unload all our luggage not good.And the day we departed NO HELP LOADING A HEAVY COOLER. Also only on elevator was working

Good location and friendly staff. The parking entrance can become a bit congested if more than two cars arrive to check in at the same time, but other than that, I didn’t notice any issues.

I’d recommend it for business travelers staying in town for a short visit, especially if you’re traveling solo.

Cristina is simply the best. I honestly can’t say enough good things about her. She’s incredibly welcoming, kind, and genuinely cares about every guest she serves. Her positive attitude, great sense of humor, and outstanding service make every visit enjoyable and effortless.

Whether it’s drinks, coffee, or food, she always goes above and beyond with thoughtful recommendations and makes you feel like a valued guest. She’s one of the main reasons I keep coming back, and I find myself recommending this place to others because of the experience she creates. Christina is a true asset to the team, and anyone who gets served by her is lucky.

Great hotel, located central to all the highlights of the city. Clean hotel and nice rooms. Very quiet City so noise is not an issue. They have a pool but indoor, would be nice to have an outdoor.

The mattresses at this hotel are extremely old and have permanent XL body-sized indentations. Good luck sleeping! My partner and I were kept up all night from back pain. We tried sleeping with our feet at the head of the bed. That didn’t work. We then tried to sleep on the very edge of the bed to try to find a part of the mattress that wasn’t compromised. That didn’t work. We called the front desk to ask for help because we desperately needed sleep. That didn’t work. 0/10 would not recommend. Not to mentioned the elevators were broken upon check-in and we were on the 4th floor. I recently had knee surgery, so climbing stairs with suitcases was not an option, so we could not even check in fully and were told to just come back later when the elevators would be working. One of the worst hotel experiences.

I had an excellent experience from start to finish! The rooms were beautiful, clean, comfortable, and very well maintained, which made my stay even more enjoyable. A special thank you to Jacob at the front desk! He was incredibly delightful, welcoming, and genuinely helpful throughout my visit. He went above and beyond to answer my questions and make sure everything went smoothly. His outstanding customer service and positive attitude truly made a difference. I really appreciate all of Jacob’s efforts and would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend!

I booked for a short personal getaway and, as someone who had never visited Greenville before, the hotel’s location is what ultimately made me choose it. Greenville is often described as a walkable city, and this property delivers on that promise beautifully. I was able to walk to nearby murals, public art, statues, restaurants, cocktail lounges, and live music venues without needing to move my car once.

A quick note about parking: there is limited street parking (generally time-restricted during the day); so rather than playing musical parking spots, I opted for the hotel’s valet service. It was convenient and completely worth it for a stress-free stay.

From the moment I arrived, Cristina at the front desk made a fantastic first impression. She's warm, professional, and genuinely welcoming... hospitality that makes one feel comfortable right away.

The hotel itself strikes a great balance between modern and relaxed. The lobby and common areas are spacious and inviting... the kind of spaces where you actually want to spend time. On my second evening, I came down to the bar and ordered a chicken quesadilla and a margarita while watching a game. The food tasted freshly made and was so well seasoned that the salsa, guacamole, and sour cream were almost unnecessary. The margarita was excellent and paired perfectly with the meal.

What made that evening even more memorable was discovering that Cristina was also the one who prepared and served my dinner and drink. She handled both roles with the same friendly energy and attention to detail. She truly deserves recognition for the exceptional service she provided throughout my stay.

For anyone visiting, I absolutely recommend The Hyatt Place Greenville/Downtown. The unbeatable location, comfortable accommodations, welcoming atmosphere, and standout hospitality made this one of the easiest 5-star reviews I’ve written in a long time.

Great location. Walkable to downtown but quiet surroundings. I wish they offered self parking vs valet but I guess that’s normal for a lot of downtown areas. Staff was welcoming, breakfast was a nice plus and the coffee was amazing. Better than some establishments. Very happy with the stay & would recommend

My wife’s corporate office is down the street and we always stay here. Great hospitality!!
