Pros:

Super nice vibe, cute cabins with fireplaces, great views, awesome people, wifi was decent (very important because I had a work emergency while there), less than a half an hour from the airport, breakfast was great!

I'll stay here longer next time I come through!!

Incredible views and Amazing food
Pros:

What an absolutely stunning view. From the cool air at 6000 plus feet the sunset was spectacular. You can even see the glimmer of the Pacific. And at night the black sky up the mountain filled with stars while the valley below twinkled with the night lights.

I thought I was heading to the middle of nowhere going up that road. But it's only 30 minutes from the airport. And so much more fun than the clogged roads below

And the best part... Ronnie, the innkeeper, is quite the chef. Great espresso with desayuno and when my wife wanted Vegan she didn't just get some raw veggies... 3 very creative Vegan dishes and my sample of something called Chifrijo... definitely not Vegan and delicious.
At this elevation enjoying a drink by the fireplace is very relaxing and unexpected.
You can go straight to the beach... ir go eat Ronnie's food and relax in a truly unique Costa Rican experience.
Barva, Poas, La Paz are all very short drives and it's only about 2 hours to the Pacific beach on the West coast, 3 to the Gulf on rhe East coast.
