Great place. Fab room. Friendly staff. Good food. Lots of space outside and close to church to see the famous grave and a common for the dog to stretch his legs. Really enjoyed the stay, a nice surprise, as we booked to break the journey to Swanage. Would stay again. Thank you 😀
We liked the ambience and the position of the property
That our room was full of dogs hair and the hairdryer was sticky.
The bathroom was very small but adequate in our room
The room was a delight, and very spacious, the cleanliness was excellent. The Staff were friendly and very helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The food was very good, the portions were more than ample..
The room was south facing, so with the rising heat we had to keep the windows open, the breeze was nice, but the mosquito's were not. The Trusty Servant Inn changed to cashless earlier in the week, and although it was not an issue to settle up each night, it would have been handier to settle just one bill.
It was in a quiet location, the staff were all friendly and helpful. Even though the restaurant and garden were busy it was not noisy.
Nothing,
The only thing that I can say is, I know it’s an old building but the sockets in the room were not very easy to access, also the remote for the tv didn’t work very well, they did have a look but it didn’t make much difference.
Convenient, clean and very helpful friendly staff
The breakfast was good and the staff are very good and welcoming.
Lovely worker Josh super friendly and helpful, Food excellent peaceful surroundings
Shower took a while to drain but such a minor point the rest out weighed that
Lovely quiet location. Lovely big shower. Comfortable bed and pillows.
Lovely breakfast and coffee.
Biggest issue was towels! There weren't any at all on arrival so I had to go back down to ask. Then despite a sign saying to leave those to reuse on towel rail all 4 were taken away and only 1 left as a replacement.
As I'd already changed for shower and bed I had to make do which wasn't easy and felt very annoying!
I had to clean draws before unpacking and expected a desk and chair as described on website.
The location was very good very nice quite village however the accommodation was tired and need a good clean
Breakfast was ok
The rooms are small and the double bed even smaller
Nice setting, friendly staff, nice food Room was ok for one night
Breakfast starting at 8.30 was far too late
so we missed it
Bed a bit uncomfortable for a 6ft person
Location picturesque and breakfast excellent.
As elderly guesrs the stairs were a problem and no grab rail in shower
Everything
Nothing
Slept well in a very comfortable bed. Was a quiet location on the (Thursday) night we stayed.
Ensuite bathroom space a little cramped, sufficient for a 1-night stay.
Joshua was a great host, all the staff were great. Lovely food for dinner and breakfast in a great surroundings with large garden.
Located in a small rural village in the heart of the new forest. Obviously frequented by locals as well as tourists, it was a ‘proper pub’.
It’s obviously an old historic building so isn’t shiny and new but that was what we expected and it was comfortable and we were happy there.
Very friendly, welcoming staff. Comfortable bed.
Very small bathroom but I knew that when I booked. I skipped breakfast as it didn’t start until 8.30am which was too late for me.
A nice little pub in the heart of the new forest. Small but clean room with everything you need. Amazing breakfast. I was worried it was going to be noisy as a pub but it was fine.
Very small sink to wash in and could do with a new shower head. Also kept hitting my leg on the sticking out wood frame
