Pleasant room and facilities.
Good breakfast and free parking.
Windows had to be left open due to the heat and we had extremely noisy neighbours so not much sleep.

The location was good, nice restaurants and shops just a 5 min drive away. The room was clean, cannot fault the cleanliness of the room and bathroom.
The bar staff were nice and helpful, provided us with glasses of ice to keep drinks cool - which was more than the hotel staff did!
It was very hot and stuffy in the room, despite outside being in low 20’s and had a breeze.
Do not stay here if you want to be cool during the night. I stayed here with my husband and thankfully we only booked one night and even then we considered booking other hotel but lots locally were fully booked and we needed the location. We did even consider making the 2 hour drive back home but didn’t due to the fact we were only staying one night!
The temperature in the room was way too hot, no air con in the rooms and a very small window which could only be opened slightly due to it being on a latch. We were provided with a pedestal fan in the room (which was very noisy even on the lowest setting!) even on the highest setting it didn’t do much and by the evening was just circulating the warm air in the room.
We had to ask for another fan because the temp was unbearable. A member of staff did bring one up to the room which was broken but said it was all they had. This was after her saying there was nothing she could do about the weather. The staff on reception told us ‘we can’t control the weather’ and when checking out I was asked how the stay and the room were, I mentioned the temp and was scoffed at. There was a small freezer downstairs at reception offering free ice cream but when I looked inside it was empty, this was on the morning of check out so I didn’t mention it to anyone as I’d already been talked to rudely beforehand that morning and during the check out process. If you want a cool night stay then DO NOT stay here.
It was very hot when I went and they provided free water and ice cream at reception. The swimming pool and spa was shut though.
The rooms and general facilities are quite old looking - the pictures make it look a little more modern than it actually is.

Check in time was 2 pm online but our room wasn't ready until 3 pm. No AC in room, no fridge.
Booked a superior king room at this hotel the room was ok the bed and pillows were nice and comfortable but I would absolutely not recommend this hotel in the hot weather there is no air con in the rooms and it was unbearably hot there was a fan but it was useless all it did was circulate the hot air we got no sleep all night so a complete waste of money you’d think a so called 4 star hotel would have air conditioning in the guest rooms or at the very least invest in some decent fans that actually work first and last time at this hotel if you’re looking for a nice hotel in Nottingham in the hot weather I’d recommend the leonardno we moved there the next night and it couldn’t have been more different lovely air conned cool rooms and cheaper .
Breakfast was good value for money. They provided ice-cream to deal with the heat, which I thought was a nice gesture.

Great facilities the pool sauna and gym were lovely where I could even play my worship music in the pool what a great experience the beds were very comfortable clean rooms and lovely staff

Not a 4-star standard hotel. Rooms are exceptionally dated and require modernising. No AC which was disappointing to see. Breakfast selection was very limited for a 4-star hotel. Hashbrowns were not cooked properly and despite the menu stating “vegan sausages on request” and “poached eggs on request”, this was refused by kitchen staff. Additional points to note, smal hairs were seen on bathroom floor, water bottles were very limited and unavailable.
The staff were so friendly and couldn’t do enough for the guests. Their customer service is exceptional. The facilities are good especially the spa and Gym and bar area with lots of space to sit. Breakfast generally very good - could have done with a banana each day and some nicer bread. Ice creams in a small fridge in Reception and cold water was provided the first day of arrival as the temperatures outside were very high. That shows thought for the comfort of hotel guests.
The single room I had although tastefully decorated and very clean was exceptionally small with a tiny window which in a heatwave made it very uncomfortable. Not enough drawers for clothes - all too small and not enough hanging space in the bathroom. A little shelf for toiletries below the mirror or on another wall would have been useful and a hook or two on the wall. One wouldn’t want more than a few nights in this room.

The rooms were very comfortable and very reasonably priced, the hotel is also in a good location. We will certainly be coming back.
There was no complimentary bottles of water in the room even though there were signs saying there would be due to the heat.
