Super entspannter Kurzurlaub
Pros:

Super gefallen hat uns die tolle Sauna, das Essen im Restaurant und auch das Frühstück (Wurst vom Metzger, mal Roastbeef, mal Lachs).

Das Personal bzw die Bedienung im Restaurant war super freundlich und aufmerksam. Man hat sich immer gut aufgehoben gefühlt.

Cons:

Die Federkernmatratze in unserem Zimmer war leider nicht ganz so bequem - für unser Empfinden einfach zu weich.

Idyllisches Wohlfühl-Hotel mit hohem Genussfaktor
Pros:

Als Schlüssel zur sehr positiven Gesamterfahrungen steht die Freundlichkeit und Effizienz des ganzen Teams im Raum: von der Begrüßung über dem Service bei Abendessen und Frühstück bis zum Auschecken. Wir fühlten uns einfach sehr willkommen und liebevoll umsorgt. Das Haus liegt traumhaft ruhig (und dennoch zumindest mit dem Auto gut erreichbar) mitten in einem Gebiet von Wanderwegen und Ausflugszielen des Sauerlands. Die gute Luft und die tiefe Stille allein schon bedeuten für Menschen aus städtischen Umfeldern Erholungsurlaub. Das Zimmer entsprach vollkommen der Beschreibung und war funktionell-elegant gestaltet mit sehr bequemen Betten. Ein besonderer Höhepunkt für uns war das Abendessen: Die eher klassischen Speisen aus hervorragenden Zutaten handwerklich perfekt zubereitet waren reiner Genuss und in diesem Sinne "preiswert" (wobei die Preise sich faktisch auf einem recht hohen Niveau bewegen, das aber eben in Blick auf die erbrachte Leistung vollkommen angemessen erscheint). Wir haben uns sehr, sehr wohl gefühlt - und das Hotel hat sehr dazu beigetragen, dass sich der sehr kurze Urlaub wie so "ein ganz richtiger großer" anfühlte.

Cons:

Wir wären gerne noch länger geblieben.
Inhaltlich gibt es keine negativen Kritikpunkte, die wir hier vernünftigerweise geltend machen könnten.

Welcoming
Pros:

A very friendly and welcoming hotel which is up in the hills above Bestwig. I was there for business, so the walks were wasted on me, but even with short time it was nice to go into the forest so easily. The restaurant is very good, and even when it is 'closed' on Monday night it is still good. Some day I will like to go here for pleasure, not just work.
