Wanted a nice change for Christmas from where we were staying, paid more, got less, terrible
Pros:

I reserved the suite and the room was large the bathroom was nice, except the shower door didn't completely close and the water didn't drain fast enough and ran into the bathroom and the bathroom door wouldn't latch unless you pushed on it really hard.

Cons:

the bed was huge but was as hard as concrete, turns out the mattress(?) was compressed foam rubber covered in a fabric like what would be used in patio furniture, then covered with a sheet. The description of the room included a fireplace, but no fireplace. I couldn't sleep at all on that bed and had to change to a much smaller room to get a bed with a real mattress. So, we were 2 adults sleeping in a twin bed for the second night of our stay in a small room with no mini fridge either. The bathroom door to this room wouldn't latch because the door was warped. now for the free breakfast, two choices; fried eggs or noodles in a thin watery broth and toast. the restaurant wasn't open and there was no buffet breakfast or trays of fruit like what's portrayed on the website, worse hotel experience I've ever had.

Pros:

Clean bed with aircon. Hot water with relatively strong pressure. Overall an alright stay for one night.

Cons:

Blanket had a huge yellowish stain beneath the cover. Breakfast was instant noodles with eggs. Hotel is more run down than the photos on booking.com

Great hotel - horrible breakfast !!!
Pros:

The Breakfast was the absolute worst we had in Vietnam. Absolutely a joke!! real insulting to be served that for human consuption. We left and got a different breakfast !!

Overall pretty bad
Cons:

Room was not very clean. The hotel seems quite outdated and not well maintained. There literally was a dead gecko on top of my door, and from the looks of it it's been there for quite some time. Staff seemed very apathetic. "Breakfast" consisted of two fried eggs and three dry pieces of toast. Nothing to drink. When I asked for coffee the woman working there simply shook her head.
Overall, a pretty bad experience.
Do not stay here.

Pros:

Location ok - breakfast very basic.
To show on their website a picture of former Japanese PM Abbe is a joke !!!

Cons:

No proper seat/table to eat - chairs are far too low
Breakfast did not incl coffee - for 4 people only bread available to make 2 egg/toast.

Exellent value for money.

Cons:

Breakfast was three slices of bread and two fried eggs. Could have had a few slices of cucumber or tomato. The bread was ordinary, it could have been toasted.

Superb
Pros:

Great value for money. Clean and spacious room, comfortable bed, bed sheets that smell good, clean bathroom, and well located (in the city center). I was doing a roadtrip by motorbike and this place was great to get some rest before hitting the road again. If you are staying short term in Son La, I highly recommend this place.
