Nice but disappointed
Pros:

The location is fantastic , the room lovely and comfortable with stunning views.

Cons:

Where you eat breakfast is poorly laid out and if you go when it’s hot be prepared to bake while you eat,the food is average .
We were so disappointed with them closing the spa with no warning ie letter under the door or email. Apparently private event and when you book a hotel because you want a spa after a long walk this is really disappointing

Wonderful stay at a lovely lakeside location
Pros:

Love the location, just right next to Lake Windermere. It has very beautiful landscape and having a meal outside facing the lake was wonderful. The room was comfortable big enough space for 2 pax.

Cons:

As it’s summer, it’d be nice if we could open the windows - the advice was not to, as there’d be crawly bugs getting into the room via the windows. Perhaps the hotel can put up insect screen on the windows in the future. Glad there was a small fan provided.

The location makes up for any short comings
Pros:

The location is brilliant. Gorgeous views and very tranquil and serene. I loved that you could walk from the pool down to the lake, and that after asking I was given a robe to wear. The bedroom was a good size and I slept well.

Cons:

The swimming pool was uncomfortably hot. It was more like a bath and very off putting. Both of the water dispensers in the spa area had no water. No fridges in the bedrooms either so the combination wasn't great on a hot day. Bathroom was looking quite worn. Brown stains all over the towel rail. Felt more like a paint issue that cleanliness. But still a bit ick!

Beautiful hotel with modern touches.
Pros:

My room overlooking the lake

Cons:

The evening meals were just ok. They were expensive but the lovely waiter was very nice on tues night. He made up for it.
Quite small portions .particulary the ice cream

Great, comfortable and modern
Pros:

View was great. Rooms modern and clean. Staff friendly. Parking on site

Cons:

Kids pool times hugely restricted. Not much around to do or places to eat so restricted to the hotel, no local shops. Food was good at the hotel though

Incredible location, everything else incredibly average
Pros:

Location is absolutely fabulous.

Cons:

Arrived and checked in by two very pleasant staff members. The room appeared to have been recently decorated, but strangely had triple glazing to the widows that had been made opaque / frosted. I should add it was 32 degrees, so I immediately opened the windows, only to be greeted by a very loud industrial sound, which I now believe was something to do with the pool extraction.

Went downstairs to same friendly reception staff and they offered me another room on the third floor. Sadly, this one was very dated and looked out over a staff corridor. The carpets were stained and the desk / table had hair straightener burns on it.

Both rooms were unbearably hot, with no air con. A fridge would have been nice to keep the bottles of hot complimentary water in.

The food is the real problem area for this hotel. Extremely expensive and very mediocre, I sent back my medium, rare steak, as it was literally still raw. I think the kitchen houses a cook, rather than a chef, as other meals were equally ‘brewers fayre / 2-4-1 style.
