Epic Hotel

Breakfast was nasty stale and cold. Old man stares at you eating making you very uncomfortable. Can’t get no peace at the poolside as the guys who work there always try to speak to and touch you. When asked to leave me alone they said it’s turkey this how we are. Very uncomfortable stay.

The staff were completely disinterested. Apart from one receptionist who was at least always pleasant.

No hot water. Consistently had no hot water when it was needed.

The hotel was in a very poor condition. It was not clean. In absolute disrepair. Mould, curtains disgusting and poorly fit. Stained carpets throughout.

I am stunned the place has four stars.

Food was abysmal. Little to offer and the breakfast staff were absolutely miserable.

I made the best out of a bad situation but I would never rebook here and would advise people to stay away.

Had such a great time here I can't understand the bad reviews me and my daughter stayed top in the attic rooms, very spacious, no issues slept well , looked onto pool , reception and bar staff very polite, pool was nice and relaxing, special thanks to the boy at the bar who was very nice

4th time staying in this hotel and was very suprised at how bad this stay was few positives 1st breakfast ok room was standard but acceptable beds comfy etc , negatives r had no view from the balcony ,room wasnt cleaned the whole week i was there i had to empty my own bins etc even tho i asked reception could it be cleaned so very dissapointed as last few stays room was cleaned etc if u want a basic hotel its fine but cleanliness not acceptable

Do not book this hotel its is terrible . It's run down poorly maintained shabby . The rooms are small the bedding and towels are old and worn the curtains do not fit the window properly and do not block out the light there is no kettle in the room . The room was full of damage and dirt. All taps and chrome work is rusty and encased in limescale . There was no hot water . In short save your money and get a cardboard box it will be more comfortable

Dirty rooms food was awful sunbeds had seen better days i wouldn't book again door slamming all hours of night no good if you have young children

this hotel is filthy , I can't believe it's not shut down , the whole place hasn't been cleaned for years , floors and hall carpet think with grime , the bathroom was so dirty , nobody cared about the place , that was obvious, we stayed out all day , made us cringe the thought of returning to a dump , never again

We got a good deal on this hotel so we wasn’t expecting luxury but at bare minimum expected cleanliness.
We arrived early hours of the morning & went to our room, it wasn’t great so we asked to change which the hotel staff did for us.
We got in our room and it was absolutely filthy to the point I felt like I was going to catch a disease!
There was dried blood and poo over our pillows and bed, mould all over the bathroom, stains on the floor, broken wood and flooring causing safety hazards, after notifying the staff they gave us no communication to the point we left and had to book alternative accommodation.
The pool area is the only decent thing about it.

After having surgery earlier in the year we didn’t expect to get away again this year. We found this hotel as a package with On the Beaxh for £650 for both of us. It was advertised as 4* however for the price didn’t expect much but just wanted a clean base to sleep
Upon check in the reception was dated and needed modernising but was clean enough albeit had some maintenance issues
We got to the room after a delayed flight and was pleasantly surprised with the size of the room however found the balcony whilst a good size had no light, there was not a single coat hanger in the wardrobe and the balcony door didn’t lock at all. Again with the price looked past these things.
Went to use the shower and found the shower head broken, most of the water came out of the side and left the head unusable - reception said it would be fixed in the morning, happy with that we unpacked and went to bed. To be fair the bedding seemed clean and bed comfy however I noticed that after 20 mins in the room my feet were black with the dirty floor!!
Popped to reception on way to breakfast and reminded them about shower and asked if the floor could be cleaned. Went to breakfast and found the chefs congested in the back smoking in the kitchen!! We appreciate different counties have different food regulations and decided to have a cold breakfast - no yoghurt, no option to make a Turkish breakfast, limited choice of poor quality / stale items. I took some watermelon and picked up a fork - first, picked another - dirty, picked 3rd, decided to use my hands.
Watermelon was soft and soggy. We have up and decided for the price we would eat out.
Came back to the hotel later that day, took the lift and received a small shock from an exposed wire! Went to the room to find the shower still broken, the floor still filthy and the room now had a foul smell of drains which took our breath. We also found human waste in the toilet that was not.m from us. We both needed a shower now so back to reception to be told it would be looked at tomorrow but the shower couldn’t be used. Unfortunately we had no option but to check out and check into another hotel.
We moved to the Club Viva, also a 4* and just a minutes walk away - night and day difference - immaculate, great breakfast, helpful staff
We later realised from speaking to locals that the Epic is well known for its poor standards, cleanliness issues and has a terrible reputation.

Me and My Daughter had an amazing time at the Epic the staff and the management team there are fantastic Can’t wait to come back next year and stay there again.see u all soon

Great hotel, very central. Very basic but rooms really clean and that’s all I want on holiday. Staff very friendly. Air con and WiFi are free. I would def return to this hotel in the future.

We went here in june which was great .Now not so good .we only paid £265 pounds for the holiday for both of us for 5 days .arrived on the 12th at 5.30 am at reception greeted very nicely. Next day it started no hot water for a shower balcony was dirty fridge sounded like a helicopter. This was our 6th stay here in the 3 month since our last visit its has gone down hill.No way A 4**** shld be a 2** .breakfast is basic .pool area is the best place about this hotel.i know its going through ownership we were told so I dont give a sh-t attitude was there.carpets and rooms in need of a asap make over before next season starts . If the owners see this make good use of ur pool bar it used to be great .now never open in the evening.

Upon arrival, it became immediately clear that the hotel room and facilities were in an unacceptable and unclean condition. I have attached photos as evidence of the issues, including:

The shower head and bathroom fittings covered in mould and heavy limescale.

Dirty and poorly maintained shower areas.

Nails and damage to the bedside table, posing a safety risk.

General lack of cleanliness throughout the room and bathroom.

Carpets in the hotel that were visibly dirty throughout.

A strong, unpleasant smell coming from the air conditioning when turned on.

One of the lights in the hotel room not working, making the space feel even less welcoming.

The standard of the hotel was far below what was advertised online. The images and descriptions provided on your website did not reflect the reality of what we encountered. The condition of the room made us feel unsafe and uncomfortable, to the extent that we had no choice but to immediately book alternative accommodation for the remainder of our holiday.

There were a few positives: my balcony at the front had fantastic morning sun, the pillows and bed were comfortable, and I did manage a great hot shower (at 3am!). The omelettes at breakfast were also very good and freshly made to order.

Unfortunately, the negatives outweighed the positives.

• Cleanliness: The room was not properly cleaned. There were stains on the walls, pubic hairs in the bathroom, toothpaste marks in the sink, mould in places, and ash left on the balcony furniture. The smell of smoke hit me as soon as I entered. Even the freezer had a bottle of Jägermeister left inside, and someone’s used body scrubber left in the shower.

• Facilities: The wardrobe had no hangers. The Wi-Fi is essentially unusable – the staff have a working encrypted network, but the guest one simply doesn’t connect. I had to rely on my own mobile data for the whole holiday. Showers had good pressure, but hot water was only reliable late at night or occasionally in the early evening.

• Noise: Expect loud, fast club music around the pool all day long. If your room faces the pool you’ll get this constantly; if you face the front you avoid that but instead get the general Marmaris nightlife soundscape, however it’s all wrapped up by around 12.30, so I just planned to not sleep before then. Either way, peace and quiet is hard to come by.

• Breakfast: Beyond the omelettes, the selection was mediocre. Cereals and biscuits were stale and seemed to get worse each day. Staff stood around chatting, and I had to repeatedly ask for basics like glasses and milk powder to be replenished.

• Service: Staff generally didn’t seem invested in guest experience. For example, the waterslide was left dry every day until someone asked for it to be turned on. Reception staff were friendly enough, but their limited English made even simple questions (like bus information) difficult, often requiring Google Translate.

Overall, this hotel is very cheap and very basic. You get what you pay for: a bed, a balcony with sun, and breakfast if you don’t mind stale food. But the poor cleaning standards, broken Wi-Fi, and lack of service made it frustrating. The atmosphere also reflects Marmaris in general – lively, loud, and a party-holiday crowd. Fine if that’s what you’re looking for, but not recommended if you want comfort or relaxation.

Pool -Good

1. "On the Beach" description about the hotel says that parking is available at the hotel - NOT TRUE ! The hotel doesn't have a car park for customers.
2. The room was in a very dirty condition ,to be honest, it looks like they only changed bed linen and that's it. The shower was mouldy with pink and black stains, the shower door was dirty, not functioning properly as it should slide, the shower head was broken,so the water was running from the sides, also spraying water from the shower tap area. Mirrors were full of water stains and left over stains from previous users. The sink was also dirty from previous users ( toothpaste or something similar). The toilet was dirty from previous users in very bad condition ( Not willing to describe how people can leave the toilet dirty ). Hair and toe nails on the floor.
3. We requested to upgrade our room,but as we were introduced to a person who came , that's he is a manager,all what he did, pointed to a cleaners, what we saw dirty, and they cleaned. We were in the room, sitting with our legs up until they clean the room.
4. "Graffiti" on the walls. Someone just wrote a number calculation on the wall,and it's still there.
5. Two balconies in the room:
The first one had a burned hole in the plastic table and a broken door handle ( no handle). Another balcony was covered with hair and toe nails left overs.
6. Breakfast served from 7:00 - 9:30. Only 2.5 hours. We arrived at 9:20 and weren't able to get hot food,as everything was empty. In angry manners we managed to get an omelet. Once we made coffee,we couldn't squeeze milk from empty jugs. We asked for more milk - the answer was: " we don't have any milk...". The selection of food was poor. They don't have enough plates and cutleries,so you may end up waiting until someone finishes their food,then they quickly wash the plates and give you back to use it again ( hygiene is very poor ). Some cups were still with lipstick leftovers. The tables weren't cleaned after customers,so you end up using a dirty table and chair or no table at all.
7. We took our chance to try dinner and it was wrong decision. No plates,no clean tables and poor food selection with no top ups.
8. We stayed 4 night ( only good thing,that we stayed short time). No room refreshment at ALL. No shower gel or shampoo top up,no toilet rolls top up,no fresh towels. We end up to buy more stuff from the shop,even bin bags.
9. The public toilet in the hotel at morning time around 11:00 ,were dirty with human feces and wet around it.
10. At the checkout time , the receptionist with his smoke time never leads customers with any manners or his job description procedures ( if any job description exists for them).

Havuz tarafına bakan odalar, sokağa bakan odalara göre daha sessiz. Sokağa bakan odalara etraftaki restaurant ve eğlende mekanlarının sesi çok fazla geliyor ve gece yarısına kadar sürüyor. Yaz tatili olduğu için odada az vakit geçirdik. İki aile konakladık. Odaların durumu birbirinden farklıydı. Bizim kaldığımız oda daha bakımsızdı.
Kahvaltısı gayet yeterli ve lezzetli.

merhaba, 2 gece konakladık. otel şehir merkezine yakın, günübirlik tekne turlarına 2 km mesafede. biz yürüdük. Eski bir otel, orta boy bir havuzu var. Kendine ait bir otopark yok. Temizlik ve klima konusunda sıkıntı yaşamadık. Banyo benzer fiyatlardaki oteller ile aynı durumda. bu otelde duş başlığı patlaktı. Gider yavaş çalışıyordu. Odlarda hiçbir ek yok. Terlik, su ısıtıcı vs. Sadeve havlu sabun duş jeli şampuan. otelin etrafında bir sürü restoran ve market var. Hemen köşesinde atm var. Karşısında eczane var. Gürültü problemi var. Gece 12ye kadar bütün restoranlar yüksek sesle müzik çalıyor. Biz yorgun olup uyuduğumuz için çok duymadık. Kahvaltısı fiyatına göre iyiydi. Uyumak ve havuz uçin tam bur fiyat performans oteli.

Rooms very dated and scruffy, food is terrible, sheets and towels only changed once. we witnessed a young girl being beaten up on the street facing our balcony when we tried to assist with police we were told to be quiet as there were complaints of noise despite explaining the girl had been beaten and thrown into a car and taken away , they didn't care. Horrible place
