Ein schönes altes Château in ruhiger Lage, ab vom Trubel der Großstadt. Auf der Terrasse kann man ein Getränk mit sehr schönem Ausblick in den Garten genießen. Der Personal ist sehr nett, freundlich und immer ansprechbar und hilfsbereit, das Frühstück ist lecker und umfangreich.
Fahrräder können sicher im Souterrain untergestellt werden.

Het hotel beschikt over een typisch Franse uitstraling die direct de juiste sfeer neerzet. Hoewel het interieur op sommige punten enigszins gedateerd is, kan je dit ook als charmant interpreteren. Het heeft een authentieke, Franse brocante stijl die past bij de ambiance van het chateau.

- wir waren auf dem Loire-Radweg unterwegs und konnten unsere Fahrräder im Souterrain sicher abstellen
- besonders freundlich war es, dass wir unser Auto während unserer Fahrradtour von Tours nach Saint-Nazaire 12 Tage kostenlos auf dem Hotelparkplatz lassen konnten. Das ist nicht selbstverständlich und das haben wir sehr nett gefunden

There's really nothing wrong with this hotel, but I felt when compared to the others on my bike trip that it was a bit expensive. I had a nice big room and nice bathroom, but the decor looked a bit tired. It could be a luxury boutique hotel but isn't quite there yet perhaps. Breakfast was perfectly fine, but it's not a buffet. So you need to order in advance. I didn't get a couple of the things I'd requested (though to be fair I didn't bring it up with them). I would have just preferred the buffet option. Regarding bike storage, i had to leave my bike outside until later as the room was being used, fortunately it wasn't the case the next morning, because then I suppose it would have been necessary to get the bike out of the room early which could have been inconvenient. Finally as a cyclist the location isn't great if you want to go out to eat (there is the hotel restaurant but it felt like too much and too formal for me). I walked to a retail area which had a few chain restaurants, I guess I could have taken the bike back into Tours if I'd really needed to.
You can access the hotel directly from the VeloLoire route EV5 behind, though it's strange how low key the entrance is. There's no obvious sign for the hotel and it looks quite run down. You cross a dilapidated wooden bridge that honestly seems a bit dangerous, go through a gate and past some abandoned tennis courts, following an overgrown path.
If you approach by bike or on foot from the road side, it's a very busy narrow road.
To repeat, there's nothing really wrong, but it could be a bit better for the price. When I booked, I was a bit late so this place was one of the last hotels available near the cycle track on this side of town where I wanted to be.
