Large, clean, and better than average place to spend a night in Austin

Homewood Suites is the bomb!
Pros:

I loved the breakfast. It was really good. The facility was wonderful. The staff were so friendly and wonderful also.

There are nothing I did not like. It was a great hotel.

Disappointing at best
Cons:

The hotel is located directly adjacent to the busiest highway in Austin. The 24 hour a day road noise is unbearable! The kitchen was poorly stocked. No wine opener, can opener, no wine glasses and very few untensils. The hot water in the shower was inconsistent. The front desk people were rude. The pool was closed our entire stay. The breakfast ends too early for vacationers. Even though I had paid the full amount before arriving, they charged me an extra $76 claiming it was just a pre-authorization. I then had to contact the manager to resolve the fee.

Had issues with cleanliness. Our duvet was full of hair from previous guests. Once we told them they replaced it quickly.
