Pros:

Bedding was amazing, the restaurant is in the building as well with the best ribs! Also the receptionist is AMAZING !! So kind :)

Staff made the stay really good. The location on a main road cannot be changed but was unexpected.
Pros:

Breakfast was good. Staff were all great. Free WiFi.

Cons:

Bedside lights would be nice. Tv instructions would help. Expect a showered option in rooms

The Staff here is AWESOME!! They go out of their way to make your stay unforgettable!!! The Lodge is old, but it has character!!! I liked it and will go back.....

Absolutely terrible service, no assistance when
Pros:

The location was fine.
We were handed the keys and from there absolutely no assistance and no one answering the phones for help.
There was no fridge in the one room and only one towel for two people.
The remote did not work for the gate and when hooting the security came out after about 30 minutes when we already had police stopping and trying to assist.
We woke up to closed gates at reception with no water facilities to shower and get done and no staff to assist. There was no breakfast and no staff with a locked gated reception area by 08h30.

Absolutely terrible service and facilities. We were in the area for a funeral and with all grieving, we did not have a good experience at all.

Pros:

Staff was very friendly. We enjoyed sitting at the bar, having a drink with local farmers. The pizza we ate wat very good as well as the breakfast. Would come back to stay here again. Aircon in room was great!

Cons:

Maybe some shaded parking would be nice.

Not so good!
Pros:

I booked about 15 days in advance and paid the full price in advance, two days before the time The Hamlet called me and asked me if it would be ok if they arrange alterative accommodation for me as the group staying there want to extend their stay. I aggreed to it provided that the accommodation is the same as what I paid for and the manager said she woul call me back. As I did not receive a call from the the next day I called back and they said the other accommodatio is too expensive but they will call me back, which did not happen again. I then drove through to Ceres and went to The Hamlet first to find out what the situation is an they said they found a place in Ceres but it only accommodates 4 people but I booked for 6. We decided to go see where and what it is like and the owner of 15 on Carson Guest house was very friendly an accommodating so we decided to stay there rather.

Cons:

The fact that they made a double booking and only contacted me 2 days before arrival and lied about the double booking, but then never followed up after that, I had to follow up with them!!

Pros:

Ive booked in and booked out immediately. I asked for a refund but did not receive any feedback yet. The staff are very friendly. But I was supposed to meet clients in the restaurant. There was a private function that made it impossible. The fotos on their website and on bookings website and the reality is worlds apart
